Eleanor felt very groggy indeed. She began to stir from her sleep and groaned. She could see the bright sunlight trying to penetrate her through her closed eyelids, and rolled over, the light already hurting her head. As her senses began to wake up, the more she began to feel like crap. She felt as if she was getting over a very nasty bout of flu, her body felt weak and pathetic and her sinuses were blocked, making her head feel fuzzy.

Slowly but surely, the events of the previous night jumped out at her and then she realised she was lying on a very soft surface, covered in blankets that felt and smelled very familiar. Eleanor forced her eyes open, and once they became accustomed to the bright sunlight leaking into the room, she realised she was at home in her bedroom. But how? And what happened to Harry? And that thing that attacked them, where did that go?

Eleanor sat up, but far too quickly and she had to hold onto her bed to stop her swaying and wait for the momentary dizziness to pass.

Eleanor listened for a moment but was met with complete silence from the rest of the house and was momentarily confused. She looked over at her clock and saw that it was eleven a.m. on a Tuesday morning. So where were her parents? They had booked the week off work to spend time with them during the holiday.

Then Eleanor had a moment of relief when she remembered that her parents had told her yesterday that they were going to have a date night, and usually on their date nights they didn't come back until late the next day. But that moment of relief vanished when she realised something. Josh!? Where was he? He would normally be up by now but the house was silent.

Eleanor jumped up from bed and rushed out of her room. She ignored her protesting body and swung open her brothers bedroom door which was situated further down the hallway but it was empty and appeared to be untouched. Panic rose ever more presently in Eleanor's stomach and she ran down the stairs, jumping the last six and hurting her ankle but she didn't care. She looked around, the living room was empty and too untouched. She raced into the kitchen but that too was as clean and empty as anything.

Just when Eleanor was about to burst into tears and ring her parents, she saw a note on the fridge. She grabbed it and read it;

Morning buttercup,

We didn't know what time you would get back last night and we couldn't find a babysitter for Josh so he came with us on our date night/day.

We hope you had a good time catching up with your friend Harry, hopefully you were responsible.

Love,

Your two dads, and little monster.

P.S There is left over dinner from last night in the fridge for you, depending on what time you get your lazy butt up. Love you x

Eleanor sighed in relief and sunk into one of the bar stools in the kitchen. Eleanor felt slightly guilty because she always looked after Josh on her father's date nights because it was a time where they could spend some alone time together and she had told them that she would be back in order to look after Josh. Eleanor didn't know what time she had gotten home last night, or how she managed it.

The last thing she remembered from last night was Harry holding her and falling asleep in his arms, feeling very warm and comforted by his smell. Eleanor remembered he smelt like wood, the parchment paper he uses to write her letters and something that smelled sweet and inviting. She couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Eleanor sat in the kitchen contemplating this for a while before she decided to go back up to her room and take a well needed shower. She was still in the same clothes as yesterday.

Eleanor trudged back up to her room, normally she would love being in the house alone but now she just felt uneasy. She kept expecting to feel a cold breath, smell putrid breath and feel all the happiness being drained out of her. The worst thing was she never saw what attacked her last night, it was invisible and that thought kept ringing in her head and scaring her because that meant they could be all around her, she would never know because she couldn't see it.

As Eleanor walked back into her room, she noticed another little note propped up on her bed side table, along with a glass of water and a purple, eccentric looking box.

Eleanor sat on her messy bed and reached for the note. She thought it would be off her dad's again but then she felt the familiar thickness of parchment paper and realised it was probably from Harry. She hoped it contained answers. It read;

Hey El,

I hope you slept well, you practically passed out back there. I hope you don't mind but I had to carry you back to your house. Mrs. Figg told me your address because apparently she knows one of your father's. Well anyway, I knocked on your door but there was no one in, so I went in your pocket and found your keys. I left them on the kitchen side by the way.

I brought you up to what looked like your room and put you in bed. You're a very heavy sleeper and you have the strongest grip ever, you refused to let go of me. I was struggling for like twenty minutes to get you off me but somehow you still didn't wake.

Eleanor blushed. Even when she was asleep she found ways to embarrass herself.

Anyway, when you wake up I don't know where I'll be. Mrs Figg says I'm going to be in big trouble with the Ministry although I used magic as self defence but hopefully Dumbledore will be able to help me. I just don't understand what those Dementors were doing in Little Whinging.

So that's what they were called. Dementors. Eleanor thought that was a fitting name. But what Eleanor didn't get is why Harry could see them but she couldn't.

Only wizards and witches can see Dementors. To Muggles, they are invisible. (A Muggle is a non-magic person.)

Dementors will make you relive your worst memories and fears. They suck out the happiness of everything, that's why you felt so hopeless last night. You might still be feeling the effects of the Dementor when you wake up so I've left you some chocolate. Trust me it helps.

I wish I could sit here and write you an explanation for everything but that would take far too long and I've got to get back to the Dursleys because its late. We'll meet again, whatever happens to us, I promise El. I'm sorry this happened to you, I never meant to put you in danger.

Love, Harry.

P.S. Be careful with the chocolate, it wriggles.

Eleanor couldn't think much of the rest of the letter because the last sentence left her perplexed. How can chocolate move? Was he having her on?

Cautiously Eleanor picked up the box on her bed side table and began to examine it. There was no description of the product, only a name. A Chocolate Frog. Huh, weird name.

Eleanor opened the box and saw that it was in fact a chocolate shaped frog. But why would Harry say it wriggles?

The question was soon answered when suddenly the frog sprang to life and jumped out the box. Eleanor screamed but made a grab for it. She missed and the frog leaped onto her bed. Eleanor lunged and trapped the frog inside her hands. She could feel it still wriggling.

Eleanor blew a strand of hair out of her face. "Wizards are weird." She muttered as she picked up the frog, and still wriggling, curiously looked at it. It wasn't a real frog was it? No, Harry wouldn't do that to her, would he?

Slowly, she took a small cautious bite of it. The frog went limp in her hands and the small mouthful she had in her mouth melted on her tongue. It was just chocolate and it was the most delicious chocolate Eleanor had ever had. She could feel it warming her insides and she immediately felt better.

Eleanor ate the rest of it happily. She picked up the box again and looked at the inside of it, seeing if she could see where Harry had got the delightful treat from.

A card suddenly fell out of the packaging and landed on the floor. Eleanor reached down and picked it up, turning it over in her hands. Another scream left her lips when she saw that the picture on it was moving! The old man in the picture winked at her and then he walked out of frame and disappeared!

"What the fuck!" Eleanor exclaimed as she stared at the now empty image. She didn't recognise who had been in the picture, but she did note that he had extremely long silver hair and beard, half moon glasses and bright blue eyes.

She turned the card over and saw some writing on the back;

ALBUS DUMBLEDORE,
currently Headmaster of Hogwarts.
Considered by many the greatest
Wizard of modern time, Professor
Dumbledore is particularly famous
for his defeat of the Dark Wizard
Grindelwald in 1945, for the discovery
of the twelve uses of Dragons blood
and his work on alchemy with his partner, Nicolas Flamel, Professor Dumbledore enjoys chamber music and tenpin bowling.

So this was Dumbledore? Harry and Mrs Figg had mentioned him many times last night and Eleanor had been confused as to who he was. At least she knew a little bit about him now.

Before Eleanor could even begin to consider the amazement and novelty of all this, a sudden tapping on her window caught her attention. She saw Hedwig at her window.

She went over and let the owl in, who hooted at seeing her. Eleanor smiled and stroked the snowy owl in greeting and then saw a letter attached to her leg.

Eleanor relieved the owl of the burden and opened the letter. It was once again from Harry.

Hey El,

I hope you're awake by now. I'm not in any immediate trouble. I'm not getting expelled from Hogwarts yet at least. Dumbledore managed to get me a hearing at the Ministry.

Anyway, to the point of this letter. Well because everyone already knows the situation and that I was attacked last night, they also know I was with you, a Muggle. And well, us wizards, we are meant to keep the truth of our identities a secret to the Muggle world, so yeah...someone is coming round to talk to you. I don't know when but I think it'll be one of my friends, don't worry. At least you're not going to get Obliviated by the Ministry. (It means you would get your memory wiped.) Anyway, I thought I should warn you.

You shouldn't get into any trouble but I'm sorry in advance for what may happen.

Love,

Harry.

Again before Eleanor could even begin to process all the information, a sudden loud knock was heard at her door. Eleanor jumped and dropped the letter.

It looked like Harry's friend was already here...

(I think this is the longest chapter yet. Did you like it? Was it okay? Until next time.)
