Ilario was here! Although, the way he was dressed, he looked very different from the Ilario she had come to see. The Ilario De Russo standing in front of her had no resemblance with the Ilario De Russo, CEO of Orlanes Banking Services. No, this was some weird Ilario from a parallel universe.

This Ilario was dressed like a damn Casanova, even more casual than that day in Naviglio Grande. He was wearing his jeans, a designer shirt open at the collar down till his chest. His hair was mussed and had an indolent smile on his face.

Tanya gaped at him.

"What's the problem here?" Ilario asked.

"Senor De Russo."

Pedro, which was apparently the bouncer's name, walked over to her boss and started explaining in rapid Italian the events that transpired till now. Tanya understood quite a bit of it as she was paying super close attention to the low voiced conversation, so she caught the word drug.

What the hell? Did these people think she was here to buy or maybe sell drugs? Is that why they were escorting her out. She stalked towards the two men.

"Hey, I'm not a drug dealer." She protested, pretty loudly, which made a table of diners sitting near them turn to look at them. It also made Pedro and Ilario stop their conversation.

"Scuza." She muttered and moved closer to Ilario who was looking daggers at her, which Tanya noticed even in the semi darkness. Turning at Pedro, she said in a low but firm voice, "I am not a drug dealer. All I did was just ask for Tony. I heard about him from a friend, who works in this club."

Pedro looked at her down his nose, "You were talking to Francis. Tony heard you asking him for..."

"Okay, my friend." Ilario suddenly came forward to put a hand on Pedro's wide shoulders, a broad smile on his face. "There seems to be a misunderstanding here. I vouch for her, she isn't a drug addict. If she were, believe me, I wouldn't be dating her."

Tanya went into another shock. Her boss was saying they were dating? What was going on?

Pedro, however, didn't look very convinced. With his arms still around the bouncer's shoulders, he walked him away towards one of the private booths. Before they went out of earshot, he looked back at Tanya and practically hissed at her, "Stay where you are and don't move an inch until I return."

Tanya didn't need telling twice. For Ilario to claim that she was his girlfriend, she must have been in deep trouble. Maybe she wasn't just going to be thrown out of the club, maybe they were going to involve the police.

Suddenly, Tanya was very, very scared. What did she involve herself in? Why did Tony react that way? And that other bartender, Frances, he was being pretty weird too. Before she could think more about it though, Ilario came back to her. Taking her wrist in a grip like manacle, he marched her out of the club.
