Here's an excerpt of my newest poem/soon-to-be-song "Acceptance"

It doesn't matter if it's now or then
Time is relative, not relevant
And the end will never be the end
Now I think I begin to understand

Predetermination always wins
Any choice I make was meant to be
Now I realize that my only chance
For peace lies in acceptance

But the human mind's not made for this
It'll think and blow itself to bits
And I thought I could be different
Yet here I stand

Reaching for a helping hand
Even though I know
What has long been set in stone/What I've decided long ago
My burden must be carried
Alone
