A lot starts to happen come November and December.
There's a harvest festival in mid-November.
A cooking contest is held in the culinary class before the festival to create a dish with a fall theme and have it given out at its own food stand. There will be plenty of other food, but one student from each year will have a dish featured! 10 points to each winner.

Year 3: Sausage-Filled Baked Apples (Fire Student)
Year 4: Thanksgiving Sliders (Air Student)
Year 5: Spiced Fruit Cake (Earth Student)
Year 6: Stuffed Chicken Casserole (Fire Student)
Year 7: Street Corn (Earth Student)

The students also have the week of Thanksgiving off. The school is based in New York after all.
Divination is learning to read tea leafs in honor of the cold weather.
Lots of big tests happen before Winterbreak, so be on your toes.
First year Blacksmithing students have the custom dagger due.
There's a Winter Ball as well! Put on your dancing shoes and best gown. The formal affair will include a fancy dinner feast and lots of music, an art show from the art students and the most beautiful decoration.
Right after the ball comes Winter Break. Students are welcome to stay at the school or go back home for the few weeks.
Any animal care student who is staying at school can earn extra credit by helping take care of some of the creatures during winter break.
