Rumors were spreading about people going missing in snowdin, and a new human had fallen into the underground. Of course, most of us stayed indoors. Those who went out...usually never returned. You could her footsteps sometimes, even the occasional sound of a monster dusting. It was absolutely terrifying.

Soon enough though, the footsteps had stopped. Monsters came out of their houses again. They were devastated by looking at the remains of friends, family, and others outside the doorstep. I saw Papyrus' scarf near the end of Snowdin. It was a shame, really. He was a kind monster. We thought that maybe Undyne, Captain of the Royal Guard, had maybe put an end to the genocide.

When we heard about what happened to Undyne, 'fear' was the emotion most of us felt. Who could stop that thing if she couldn't? The usually happy atmosphere of our small town was now a gloomy, mournful place. Sans looked especially affected. The lighthearted joke-crackin' skeleton was now more secretive than ever.

One by one, more news of unfortunate events like Muffet, Mettaton, and others made their way to snowdin. It was definitely a nerve-wracking situation. I hoped it would be all solved soon. Eventually, Sans stopped showing up to places. Nobody knew where he went. It's like he just.... vanished. We could only assume the worst.

What more terrible thing could happen next?

Well, it didn't end on a happy note. Word got out that Asgore....

...

I lie in bed that night, hoping this was all some bad dream. That I would wake up, and everything was ok. That all the losses we've had were just...imaginary.

I wish that's what happened instead.
