Rose entered the building with Jay, Jackie and Chase chatting from behind. Her mood was off. She didn't sleep at all the day before. She had cried all night as she held the guitar in her hands. She didn't play a single note as if she had lost all that talent but it was her fear that held her back. She wore all black today. The colour she never covered her body with. But now here, she was wearing hate on her body. She looked tired. Her smile was long gone. She walked lazily towards the class. Jackie, Jay and chase had already reached there. She was lost in her daydream when she suddenly heard something that broke her heart.

"I heard Christensen is dating Leena" a girl whispered to her friend. But Rose heard it. But no tears came from her eyes. As if she knew this was about to happen. She continued to walk. Until she finally reached her destination. She entered the class and the first thing that caught her attention was the most hurtful thing ever. Leena sat near Christensen. Rose quickly got back to her senses when she noticed that Christensen saw her. She walked lazily towards the backbench where Jay, Chase and Jackie were waiting for her. She sat beside Chase and took out her notebook. Chase looked at her. He knew what she felt. It broke his heart to see his precious best friend to look sad. Chase got up and was about to go to Christensen, but Rose held his hand. She looked up at him and shook her head signing that he shouldn't do it. He sat back. He stared at Christensen from behind. His anger increasing every minute. He tried to look at Rose who was silently reading a book. She was good at hiding her pain. He could tell how broken she was. He turned back to look at Jay he was already looking at him. Then he switched his glaze with Jackie who was doing the same. They all knew what was going on but didn't know what to do. Chase turned back when the teacher came.

"So students we have a new shifted student today who from now on will be your classmate." she spoke.

"Leena Jackson introduce yourself." she continued

Leena got up and went to the front of the class.

"Hello everyone my name's Leena Johnson. Hope we can be friends." she said before going back to sit with Chris.

Leena Johnson, a bully. She was shorter than Rose and had blonde hair. Wore a lot of makeup and too much exposing clothes. She wears pink most of the time and had a skinny figure. Good looking but who knows what she looks like without makeup. She had brown eyes which were covered by blue lenses.

Rose sat between Jay and Chase. She was laughing. It was Chase who made the day better. He told jokes nonstop and made weird faces. Rose knew why he was trying so hard. She treasured her best friend more than any F boy. Half-day went like that and it was lunch break.

They were eating and chatting peacefully before an uninvited guest came

"Hey Rose." Chris said grabbing all of their attention

Chase was about to start a fight but Rose held his hand under the table. Rose looked at Christensen's table where she found Leena sending her a death stare.

"What do you want?" she asked him with an expressionless face.

"Tomorrow's my birthday" he said.

"So?" she continued.

"I am inviting all of you guys to my birthday party."  He said.

"Sure we'll come" Rose said with a fake smile. Everyone at the table tried to look at her.

"Wha-what?" Jay asked with confusion.

"We'll come to your party now go and eat your lunch." Rose said.

He nodded and left.

"What was that?" Chase asked with a furious expression.

"We are just going to enjoy. Chill dude." Rose said going back to eating

The rest of the day went as normal.

Rose sat in the nurse's room on the last bed which was adjacent to the window of the room. No one was there. She asked the nurse if she could be there for a while. Everyone had already left. Chase had to clean his room and Jay had to go shopping with his mother and Jackie well, she had a date with a senior. So she left the earliest. The school was still open since some students took extra classes. Rose got up ready to leave. Her heartfelt heavy but she was used to it. The guilt she was feeling was extreme. She felt lonely. She thought that she had missed the lucky chance given to her. Rose locked her locker and started walking with her own thoughts. But someone stopped her way. It was the person she hated the most right now.

"Hey Roseline." Leena said with her minions behind her.

"What do you want?" Rose asked as she lifted her eyes to look at her. Her eyes were cold. 

"You are coming in my way sweetie." she said with a girly tone.

"Right now you are the one doing that." Rose said crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"You are funny." Leena said faking a smile.

"And you are a joke." Rose replied.

"Look dear I don't want to hurt you, it would be better if you don't come between me and Christensen." Leena uttered with anger boiling in her eyes.

"Why are you afraid that he wants me more than you." Rose fired back.

"You don't know who I am." Leena was on the verge of losing control

"Neither do you." Rose said calmly and it was that when Leena lost it.

"Girls!!" Leena shouted and the girls started to circle around Rose.

Rose knew what was happening but she wasn't afraid at all. She was used to dealing with these types of situations. Why do you think she used to stay outside late? She had dealt with drunk guys all alone what were these chicks in front of her. Rose had spent plenty of time fighting and improving her skills and now it was the time to use them.

One of the girls pulled Rose's hair. Rose turned and punched her in the face. She laid flat on the ground. Two of the girls came and held both of her hands. She sounded back to make them fall. One of the girls came with a bat and hugged her back but she was too weak. Rose turned to look at her and raised her hand to slap her. But before that could happen she backed out. Rose shook her head as she looked at her. It went for a while before all of them were laying on the ground. Rose got punched in the face, which made her cheek bleed. The side of her lip was also bleeding too, Leena stood there shocked. Rose came closer to her she but Leena backed away. She did that until her back came closer to one of the lockers. Rose came closer to her ear and whispered.

"You messed with the wrong person."
