What's the first thing people see after they click on your cover? The description, of course! First impressions are very important, so you don't want a description like this:

Vote, read and comment!

Or worse, this:

Bleukti hda e pwofessy thaaht hiey wod becowm tee bst ldeara in ta fowstes!

Who the heck would read either of those? Okay, maybe if you like trolls, you'd read the second. But here is Ember's Guide of how to write descriptions!

Step One: Who's your MC? Of course, sometimes there's more than one, but quick get that down. In "The Prophecis Begin" arc, the MC is obviously Firestar.

Step Two: What's the basic plot of the story--and by basic, I mean "what's the problem?" For example, in "The Prophecies Begin" arc the problem is "Tigerstar's going to take over ThunderClan".

Step Three: Mention the MC, the problem, and some vague hints about what might happen (oh gosh that was badly explained...) like this:

Fireheart's life wasn't ever going to be easy in ThunderClan as a former kittypet. But unfotunately for him, there is a larger problem brewing. There is an ambitious cat on a quest for power, and it's Fireheart's task to stop him.

So, how was that? Terrible XD. But I hope this has helped you a little bit!
