Spoiler alert: it me

I started reading the Harry Potter series this summer after a lifetime of parents telling me that I had to be older to read it and then just not being interested, and I finished the final book at midnight this morning! I had a few people over the last few months who asked me for a list of final Harry Potter thoughts, so here they are

• Molly Weasley? An ICON

• My thoughts on Snape summed up:

• When I first started the series, a few of my friends told me that they expected for Draco to become my son, which... would make sense, seeing that he fits the common theme among my sons. But in fifth grade I read an article where JK Rowling basically said that Ron was trash, so Ron's been my son ever since and I LOVE HIM.

• I'd be lying if I said that my inner mother instincts didn't try to activate over Draco during the last two books though.

• I WOULD DIE FOR NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM

• Hedwig's death left me shattered

• Mad-Eye's death was sad but not surprising

• DOBBY DESERVED BETTER

• Lupin's death didn't even register with me for the longest time

• AND I WAS SO MAD WHEN FRED DIED

• LIKE EXCUSE ME???

• Me when we found out that Ginny, Neville, and Luna have been leading the rebellion at Hogwarts while the golden trio were gone:

• Harry not going on to work at Hogwarts sounds fake but okay

• (him teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts could have been full circle but whatever)

• Albus Severus is the worst name for a child ever and that poor boy is going to be made fun of in school

Overall, I loved the series!! I definitely want to buy the whole set to keep now because I'm totally going to be rereading it in the future
