If you haven't heard the news, a group of extremely dedicated fans created Swooning Over Stans: A Grunkle Dating Sim. Yeah.

In it, the player is a person going on an epic summer road trip who accidentally crashes in Gravity Falls after an incident with somebody's magnet gun and ends up staying at the Mystery Shack and striking up a relationship with one of the Grunkles while waiting for the car to get fixed.

You can only play the game on computers, and since mine is currently in the shop (a moment of silence for all of my documents that were deleted during the Great Crash of 2018, please), I thought I could escape my morbid curiosity about the game. But then not only did the cast of Real Time Fandub play the game (and do the voices!!) while streaming, freaking Alex Hirsch played during his stream with Dana Terrace and Daron Nefcy. And thus I discovered other people's playthroughs on YouTube. Whoa boy.

So now I've seen people play through both Stan and Ford's routes, and wow that was really cute... even though Stanley Pines needs to watch his mouth. Kiki-kit did all of the sprites and they're phenomenal, but there's also bonus art you can get during certain scenes if you say and do the right stuff, and they're masterpieces I swoon. Also I would kill for some of those backgrounds and the writing was amazing and wow I can't believe that I enjoyed a dating sim although it's probably because I was watching someone play and didn't have to pretend it was me putting the moves on our favorite old men XD

Some of my favorite parts of both routes:

• MOTHMAN MOTHMAN MOTHMAN

• You get to build a creature for the Mystery Shack!

• The player can play Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons with Ford and Dipper and it's adorable and amazing and kind of made me want to get into Dungeons & Dragons

• In both routes, the player takes Dipper and Mabel out for breakfast and it's so precious

• Oh my stars Stan takes the player out to do some "errands", and they ended up getting shot at as they ran away with a stolen sad clown painting

• For another errand, they went to go rob Bud's Auto Sale and ended up getting arrested, but they broke out of jail and ain't that just the way XD

• PACIFICA WORKING AT THE DINER

• GRENDA AND MARIUS STILL GOING STRONG

• GIDEON'S DOING GOOD I'M SO PROUD OF HIM

• ROBBIE ACTUALLY BEING DECENT AND HIM AND TAMBRY STILL BEING TOGETHER

• Also in both routes, you get to be the ring bearer at the ceremony to renew Waddles and Gompers' vows

• CUPCAKE BAKING WITH MABEL AND FORD

• Dipper being protective of his Grunkles

• There's a scene that takes place during a meteor shower, and the background for that one is absolutely breathtaking

Also I took a few screenshots of some parts that made me laugh XD
