Aka a quick Emerald the Drama Geek life update

A while back ago, I posted about directing a Cinderella adaptation play during second semester, but that is no longer a thing.

Because I'm directing the school musical instead.

Well, myself and two of my friends. We're doing Hairspray, and since all three of us have been in Hairspray before, it's very near and dear to all of our hearts.

The last few weeks have been completely insane with preparing for the workshop and callbacks and promoting the show and everything in between, but we had our auditions last week and we posted our cast list yesterday! We had such a great turnout at auditions and everyone has been just so excited and positive and wanting to help in every single way and asdfghjkl

Actual rehearsals don't start until January and we don't open until May, but there's still a lot of work to be done before then! I'm so thankful for my two wonderful codirectors and so proud of my cast. It's going to be fantastic.
