After that encounter with Gene, I continued to survive through the rest of school. Let's just say it wasn't fun. After hours of boring class time, it was time to go to the club.

When I got there, everyone else was already there. I am never the last one so this was weird. I took a seat and Sophie started the club off with one of her "motivational" speeches.

"Welcome to another club meeting! This week I have decided that every day we will sing songs that belong to a specific theme! Isn't that exciting?!?"

Woo-hoo we have to sing about what she tells us to. GREAT. (sarcasm)

"Today's theme is..... Love and Trust! Isn't that a great way to start off the week!"

Yup. A great way to start off the week is by singing about something I don't have or feel. Fantastic.

"Because the theme is love, you will have to sing with  a partner. First, Dylan will sing. So Dylan, who will be your partner?"

"U-um, I-i g-guess I'll sing with Aphmau. O-only if she wants to!" He stuttered. I heard Aphmau giggle. Then she stood up walked up to him and said she would sing with him.

After a minute of planning the songs, he cleared his throat and announced the song: Closer

After they finished Aphmau and Dylan took their seat. Then Sophie announced the next person.

"That was so cute Aphmau and Dylan. You guys sing very well. Now it is Marc's turn. So Marc who is going to be your partner?"

"Um....d-do you want to be my partner, Sophie?"

Sophie's cheeks turned dark but she accepted and the both of them walked to the center of the room. They whispered for a minute or two and then started singing.

I hate to admit it but Marc actually sang fairly well. They both took a seat. Then Sophie looked over at me as if noticing that I didn't have a partner because we only have five members. She walked to the center again.

"Since we have an odd number of members, Y/n doesn't have a partner. Y/n do you want to sing alone or do you want to sing with me?"

"I can sing by myself. It's ok."

"Great. Just start when you are ready."

With that she ran back to her seat. I walked to the center, cleared my throat and began to sing.

When I stopped singing, everyone clapped. I went to my seat quickly, hating the attention. Everyone talked for a while and then the bell rang, signalling for us to go home.

As I was walking home, I noticed that there was a sign in front of the house next to my house. The sign said "SOLD." I just kept walking. I was about to reach my front door when I heard the sound of a motorcycle. I turned around and saw a guy on a motorcycle heading for the house next to mine. When they got to the house, they parked the motorcycle and got off. Then they took off their helmet. It turned out to be a guy I had seen in the school cafeteria once.

I decided to be a decent person and talk to the guy. He turned and saw me. I walked up to him and he smiled.

"Hi, my name is y/n. Who are you?"

He placed his helmet on his motorcycle's seat and introduced himself.

"My name is Dante Shadowguard. It's a pleasure meeting you," he said as he shook my hand, chills running down my spine. "Oh, and I am moving in to this house. Are you going to be my neighbor?"

"Yes. Oh, and are you going to live in that big house all by yourself," I asked seeing as the house was three stories high and seemed too big for one person.

"No, actually I am moving here with my brother and his two friends. Speaking of which. They are coming on Thursday. I'm sure all of us will become great friends," Then he leaned in and whispered in my ear," and maybe you and I could become more than friends."

I instantly backed away. This guy was already creeping me out.

"Yeah you just keep dreaming bud. Anyway, what school do you go to?"

"Oh, Phoenix Drop High. I'm a junior but I'm 15. I got skipped a grade ahead because apparently I'm smart."

"Cool. I'm also a junior at PDH. But in 16."

"That's great. You, my brother, and his friends are all on the same grade and are the same age! See, all of us will become friends."

"Sure. Well, I really need to go now. I guess I'll see you sround. Bye, Shadowguard."

With that I start to walk away. Right before I reach the door I hear him call out my name.

"Y/n, wait! My name is Dante, so why did you call me by my last name?"

"Cuz it sounds cool, bad ass, and mysterious. Plus it fits you better than you actual name."

I turned back to face him and I noticed that the color on his cheeks was darker than the rest of his face. He was also smiling weirdly.

"W-well, b-b-bye Y-Y/n."

I waved and then I walked into my own house. My new neighbor is weird. I just hope he doesn't bother me.
