Biffle exhaled slowly and opened his eyes. He knew he could never leave. He was in his house for once since it had been blown up, and he still felt unsafe.

Unsafe in his own home.

He brought a hand to his face to try and rub the sleep from his eyes. He should go back. Back to his friends.

Would they even let him?

Biffle found himself walking towards the admin treehouse, but he hesitated. The tree was in view, but unlike the last time, he wasn't invited to be here.

He started to turn away, yet he hesitated.

Biffle wanted so badly to go back, but they were as lost as Jerome. He could never get them back.

Maybe it was best if he didn't. He wasn't safe near Sigils anyway. His ex-friend had blown up his house for God's sake.

Biffle found himself walking back to SSundee's house, but he paused yet again as a thought hit him.

He was the dangerous one.

Biffle had almost killed Sigils twice. Sigils hadn't even meant to hit his house.

"You're an idiot," Biffle murmured to himself, "Wow."

"Just found out?"

Biffle snapped around, eyes landing on Frost, who was leaning against a tree, gazing at his black-painted nails.

"I thought you would have figured it out...I don't know, when you threw Sigils into water."

Biffle shifted, "It was everything else. Everyone's emotions combining."

"That doesn't excuse your actions," Frost replied coldly, "It explains it."

"I know." Biffle murmured, "I'm not asking for forgiveness."

"Then... why were you coming to see us?" Frost asked, voice cold, "Unless you weren't coming for us?"

Biffle adverted his gaze, "I didn't join SSundee as an act of rebellion. He helped me, so I owed him something. I just- I didn't expect everything to go downhill. Sigils chose the wrong time to go to his ship, and I was still angry at him."

"So, you want to come back?" Frost asked.

Biffle nodded, still gazing down at the grass.

"How do I know that you're telling the truth?"

"You don't," Biffle murmured, "That's why I was leaving."

Frost nodded slowly. "What's SSundee planning?"

"He hasn't said anything," Biffle replied, "Not about plans at least."

"What has he said?"

"Something about how he 'didn't mean to' or 'was startled' and some other bull crap." Biffle snarled, looking up at Frost.

Frost nodded again, and was about to respond when the ground rumbled.

"That's ominous," Frost commented, stepping out from under the tree to find SSundee's house. "Oh no."

Biffle turned, following the admin's gaze. "Yeah, that's certainly not good."

A shimmering blue portal was slowly moving backwards, with SSundee standing beside it, watching. Some sort of geode was coming out of it, with large tentacles snapping at the air and slithering across the ground.

"That's- there's no way-," Frost stammered, "I need to get the others."

"What?" Biffle whirled to the admin, "What is it?"

"A very, very, very bad decision," Frost took a few steps away, then turned and sprinted for the treehouse.

Very helpful, thanks Frost. Biffle thought to himself, turning and running for SSundee's house. SSundee turned as Biffle approached.

"Back already?" SSundee asked.

"Didn't expect to be back either," Biffle said bitterly, "What are you doing?"

"Welcome back then." SSundee said, turning back to the portal and not bothering to answer the question.

"SSundee." Biffle hissed after a moment of silence, "What are you doing."

SSundee's gaze flickered over to Biffle, then past him.

"I'll explain later."

Biffle was about to demand an explanation then, but a force collided with his head, and the world overcame with darkness.
