Henwy paced. The pathway in his courtyard was made almost specifically for this. He walked through his garden, dodging twigs and branches in his path. He kept glancing out over at SSundee's little cottage, worry clouding his thoughts.

Biffle had been absent for a few days now, ever since Sigils' and Biffle's bond broke. That was a normal occurrence here, but the lack of communication wasn't. Jerome couldn't even hear him.

Was he out of range? Sure, but if his bond was broken, surely he would have tried to stay home?

An answer hovered in the back of Henwy's mind, but he couldn't bring himself to believe it.

His eyes drifted back over to SSundee's house. Surely he wouldn't...

"Hey! Henwy!" A voice called. Henwy turned, spotting Sigils padding over to him, black wings fluttering. The green sparks around his arms and feet disappeared as he approached. He was in his enderman form, further proof that he teleported.

"Hi Sigils," Henwy greeted the enderman, "What are you doing out of bed?"

"Going to my spaceship," He replied simply, "I need to adjust the spell I'm using to protect my infinity stone."

Sigils tilted his head to look up at the sky. Henwy nodded, "Alright. Be careful, though. Bring some potions with you."

Sigils nodded, "Yep, I know, I know. I'll be back soon!"

Sigils waved and dissipated into a cloud of green smoke and stars. Henwy watched the sparks dance across the ground for a few moments. Henwy sighed and turned away, looking back over to SSundee's house.

"Henwy? You here?" A voice called from the gate. Henwy turned, spreading his wings.

"Biffle?" Henwy called back, lifting into the air to soar over his garden to the gate. Biffle stood there, fidgeting with the edge of his jacket. He smiled softly.

"Yep! It's me," Biffle replied. He looked over his shoulder at the rest of the town, "I stopped by to ask if you know where Sigils is."

"He just left," Henwy answered warily, "Why?"

"I want to talk to him," Biffle murmured, shifting.

"Hm," Henwy narrowed his eyes, "Well, if you want, you can stay here for a little while. He's sort of moved in now."

Biffle's eyes darkened, "Why?"

Henwy tilted his head, "What do you mean why?"

"He didn't tell you did he?" Biffle squinted at Henwy, "He tried to kill me."

Henwy furrowed his brows, "He...he did?"

Biffle nodded, "Don't know why. I think he's losing control of his enderman form."

"Again?" Henwy murmured quietly, "Are you sure? And if that's the case, why would you want to talk to him?"

Scenes flashed before him. Slitted green eyes from the bushes. Blood. Screaming. Henwy gingerly touched the scar on his side.

Biffle didn't respond, but his eyes drifted to his hammer.

"Biffle- you wouldn't-," Henwy stammered.

"SSundee isn't on our side this time," Biffle hissed, "And the admins have been gone for a while. If they can't help, then what happens if Sigils goes out of control again?"

Henwy shakily exhaled, "Look- we can talk about this, okay? Come inside and we can make a pla-."

Biffle shook his head, "No."

Jerome where the hell are you? Henwy thought, trying to compose himself, "You can't- you can't kill Sigils. I know it sucks and hurts that your bond broke, but you can't just go kill him. Let me find Jerome and we can all talk this out. Maybe we could make a truce or we could try to find the admins."

Biffle's eyes softened, "Alright. Fine. I'll try to find the admins."

Henwy nodded slowly, "Okay."

Henwy lingered while Biffle turned and walked away.

"He's lying." Jerome said quietly, practically materializing next to Henwy.

The avian jumped and turned, spotting his partner staring daggers at Biffle as he left.

Henwy blinked, "What?"

Jerome turned his gaze to Henwy, "Sigils is fine. He didn't attack Biffle. He wasn't even hostile."

Henwy knitted his eyebrows in confusion, "Then why did he lie?"

Jerome turned back to where Biffle had been heading, but the man was gone, "That part I didn't catch."
