With a sigh of relief, Yukari tried to ease herself down, wishing she brought her tea to the basement. "So what do you remember from the spell?" Iris glanced around the room at a rapid pace, squirming in her seat. "U-Uh-Uhhhhh..... Birthday party..." "Who's?" "Dunno..." Yukari scoffed, shaking her head left to right slowly. "And ummm, someone killed someone. I can't remember precisely-." Yukari interrupted, "Are they still alive?" The little child pondered, forming various oblivious expressions as the thought. "Maybe." "Well, maybe then we can find them, and let you reunite with your parents!"

Iris nodded her head in agreement. "Took you a long time to gain that memory, you looked asleep with your eyes open... It scared me a bit." Yukari admitted as she sheepishly giggled. Though, her smile almost transformed into a stretched line, reaching both sides of her face.

"Long time." She mumbled, glancing over to the basement door that leads back to the hallway. "Is it 3:00 yet?" Yukari got back up, racing up the stairs and with her boots making sure she wouldn't fall, to check the clock. "2:30, I need to go!" The witch admitted, hastily running to her bedroom and keeping her door shut. "Where?" Iris asked, standing on the other side of the door, staring at the neat handwriting on the chalkboard. "To the-." "You can't come since you are..." "I mean... I can't hire a babysitter, it will be too long to stand around idly and wait for them."

The maiden stuttered various syllables over and over as if constructing the perfect sentence. "It's a witch only event..." "Oh, what is it~?" "Spring Season Sorcery." "What's it about?" "Well, it's like a convention. Witches from all districts gather around a special area in the middle of spring to exchange various things for magic. I go every year, mainly to get some candles, but I'm of no luck most of the time." "What kind?" "It's... They're candles that look like space, and for many years, I've been searching for them." "Why?"

Yukari opened the door, now wearing a black witch outfit, with purple and dark blue little accents and decorations, as well as a black witch hat with a purple line around the hat in the middle, now wearing black leather polished ankle boots. "Personal reasons." Iris pouted at such a response, but respected her guardian's boundaries and didn't wish to interfere.

"I need to bring you with me..." Yukari sighed, before continuing. "I need a disguise for you. We might go to jail if anyone were to discover you possess no magic in you." "In me? I need to learn it, right?" "No, witches are born, with a legacy. Not a wish." "How can you tell if someone is a witch?" "Well, witches are female wizards, Wizards are men who possess magical powers."

She used her hands to speak, moving them in all sorts of spontaneous directions. As she did, Iris worriedly followed her hands with her eyes, she could imagine getting smacked by them at any moment. Yukari began to search around her closet, examining the fabric, and detail in every piece of clothing she had the ownership of.

It didn't take very long before she pulled out a witch robe, similar to her's, but instead of black, it was white, with a hoodie and blue details. "Here's my uniform from when I was a novice, go get changed in the bathroom, see if it fits." Yukari hesitated to command. And as she said, Iris walked to where the teal bathroom was located, closed the door, and began changing. Yukari, on the other hand, began taking out a backpack and filled it with enchanted items, spell books, miraculous ingredients, pigments, anything that would make your mouth agape.

The doorknob began to jiggle, as Iris slowly opened it. "How does it fit?" "Painted on," Iris affirmed, grinning as she spun around like if she was a string on a spinning wheel, probably like the one used in Sleeping Beauty, the victim for pricking Briar's finger.

Escaping her room, the witch went to see if such statements were true. And it really did fit, as if Iris was a beginner witch learning her first spells and her set of ingredients, differentiating her candles in addition. "It looks great!" Yukari confessed, with a genuine smile stretched across the sides of her face. "Are you ready?" She sighed, examining her backpack for an item she packed. Iris nodded. "Try not to talk to many people, it might make it unnoticeable that you are human that way." The child nodded again.

Under her breath, the witch began to mutter a chant, relating to the Spring Season Sorcery. And as speedy as the blink of the human eye, a white portal opened up on the side of the hallway wall.

It freaked Iris out the slightest bit, but she acknowledged that she would have to get used to seeing magic now. This was her new home. Yukari is her new 'mother'. And it will be long until she can reunite with her genuine parents, and leave the witch behind.
