Bada was taking the bobble out of her hair—again. She looked at her reflection in the mirror. She was pale and her hair hung boring from the top of her head. She tried to braid it, do a half-up-half-down but nothing quite caught her eye.

Today was the day of her and Jungwon's date at the cinema. She was super excited about today. She had done a face mask last night to give her face a healthy glow but when she woke up this morning it looked pale and transparent—almost purple.

Her mother had allowed her to go on a date with Jungwon. But she had given her a curfew. Bada was happy with anything, as long as she was able to go out with Jungwon. She had to admit, after the concert on June 3rd the feelings she had locked in the back of her heart were ten times bigger.

Her crush on Jungwon was almost giving her wings. She felt like a normal seventeen-year-old. She had a crush and would go on a date with said boy. She couldn't believe her luck.

Still, once she turned around to look at the pile of medication on her nightstand, a sigh left her lips. She would NEVER be a normal seventeen-year-old. Not with a heart disease like hers. She quickly turned back to look in the mirror and fix her makeup.

Just for today she wanted to be normal.

Once she got ready, she joined her mother in the living room. Maria was watching a cooking show on the TV, when Bada entered the room and looked at her. "Oh my" she started, "you look beautiful, Bada." She smiled. Bada patted her skirt and sat down next to her mother.

"Thanks for allowing me to go, Mum" she smiled and Maria shook her head. "After that concert I learned to give you a little bit more of freedom, Bada. It's no use locking you in the house." Bada looked at her mother. She was surprised about he development her mother made.

"Why?", she asked and Maria chuckled.

"I saw how you were glowing watching that band. Especially Jungwon." She smiled. "I looked the same when I saw your father for the first time." Maria looked at Bada and saw how her pale cheeks turned pink. "I want you to be happy. And as long as you're able to move freely and be relatively healthy and not bed ridden I want to give you as many options as possible to live a normal life." Maria fumbled with the hem of her blouse. "Dr. Huh doesn't know how long it'll take for you to stop reacting to the treatment or how long your heart will be able to move your body freely like this. So I decided to give you more space."

Bada looked at her mother in shock. "What?", she asked and Maria nodded. "You're only seventeen. You should live as much as possible until your condition makes you unable to." The Gemini was speechless about her mothers opinion, but smiled anyways.

"Thank you so much, Mum. You have no idea what this means to me."

Maria wanted to answer, when the doorbell rang. Bada widened her eyes and felt her hands get clammy. Maria smiled. "D'you want me to get the door?", she asked but her daughter shook her head.

"N-No... I got this" she said and leaned forward to press a soft kiss onto her mothers forehead. "I'll see you later Mum" Bada said and waved her mother goodbye. Maria watched her leave the living room with soft steps and shook her head. "She's so much like me when I was her age" she chuckled and averted her attention back to the television.

Bada took a deep breath once she was standing in front of the door. She was holding on to the purse a bit tighter and wiped her sweaty hands on the skirt of her dress. With a pout she pulled open the door and stared straight into Yang Jungwon's face.

Her mind went blank.

Jungwon wore ankled ripped jeans and a loose striped button down. On his feet were worn out Adidas Superstars and he had a festival bracelet on his left wrist. Probably still from Rock at Hangang. His blue hair—that was slowly fading—was slightly swiped out of his face and his brown eyes sparkled with excitement.

Bada had to admit that Jungwon looked absolutely beautiful.

"Hey" he greeted her and Bada saw how his body relaxed. A sigh left her lips as she glanced at his face and took in every single detail of the boys face. "Hey" she answered. "R-Ready for the cinema?", he asked and Bada nodded. She stepped out of the house and closed the door behind her.

"I texted you my curfew, right?", Bada asked as the duo walked towards the elevator. "Yep" he grinned, "I planned everything with my Heereum-noona so you won't be home late." He looked at her.

Bada wore a short pink-cream-checkered cami dress with flimsy straps and a loose dusky pink cardigan over it. The cardigan slipped off one of her shoulders and Jungwon caught himself staring at the piece of skin Bada was showing. On her feet were crispy white Keds and she had styled her blonde hair to two space buns with the rest of her hair hanging in soft waves down her shoulders.

Bada was beautiful and Jungwon felt his insides turn in excitement. Was this how attraction felt like? He knew he liked Bada and he knew he was attracted to her cute and bubbly personality... but was this strong feeling in his chest physical attraction as well? Jungwon felt his head spin.

"What movie are we watching?", asked Bada once they reached the closest bus station. Jungwon was standing very close to her and sometimes his hand brushed against hers. She wanted to take it, but didn't know how to initiate something like this.

Was this too early?

She only recently found out that the attraction for her cute classmate was more than just a simple crush, but was she moving too fast? She wanted to hold his hand... She wanted to know how it felt like to be held.

Maybe it was because she knew she didn't have equally as much time as other teenagers, but somehow it felt right. Just as she went to grab his hand, he lifted it and scratched his nape.

"I didn't know what movies you were into, so I asked my bandmates what movie they'd recommend" he chuckled. "I bought tickets for the new Minion movie." He chuckled nervously and Bada smiled.

"That sounds great!", she grinned, "I actually wanted to see that movie." Jungwon faced Bada and heat rushed to his cheeks. The two teenager started at each other when they heard the bus came. Jungwon quickly looked away.

Ba-dump, ba-dump.

Bada's heart was beating hard in her chest and she gulped nervously. She was so nervous! What if Jungwon didn't like her the same way! What if she would embarrass herself on this date and Jungwon would have enough of her?

A pout formed on her lips as the two classmates entered the bus and sat down. Jungwon bit on his bottom lip until he pulled out his phone and a set of earphones out of the pockets of his pants.

"I-I wanted to share my earphones with you on the commute" he said—a pink hue on his cheeks. Bada widened her eyes. "I'd love to!", she answered quickly and Jungwon handed her the left earphone.

Bada plugged it into her ear and watched Jungwon type away on his phone until LeeHi's song Only started playing. She looked up and looked at Jungwon. He was staring at her. His ears and cheeks were bright red and he was nervously wiping his hands on his thighs. Bada smiled and took his right hand with her left one. She interlaced their fingers and smiled at Jungwon.

Jungwon blinked at her nervously, while she starting stroking her thumb over the back of his hand. "T-This feels nice, right?", she asked and Jungwon nodded, giving her hand a little squeeze.

"This feels very nice" he repeated and Bada grinned brightly. Warmth spread all over her body as they were listening to LeeHi's beautiful voice, while the city was passing past them.

It took the bus a while to reach their destination and the teenagers had listened to a good portion of Jungwon's playlist when they climbed out of the bus. Jungwon immediately went to grab Bada's hand.

"Let's get some drinks and popcorn before heading into the cinema auditorium" Jungwon recommended and Bada nodded. They ordered their food and drinks and when Bada went to pay, Jungwon shook his head and paid all their food.

"Jungwon!", Bada let out, "That were almost 40.000₩!" She shook her head and went to grab her wallet once more. "Bada, please. Let me treat you to the food, please." He looked at her with warm puppy eyes and Bada groaned. "Oh my god, you're so stubborn!" She rolled her eyes. "I'll pay the next time, okay?", she asked furiously and Jungwon grinned, gently nudging her shoulder, making the cardigan slide down a bit more.

"So you're saying there will be a next time?", the Aquarius teased and Bada opened her mouth in shock. "What? No!" She felt heat rush into her cheeks. "Yes, you did! Song Bada just said the two of us will have another date!" He was grinning brightly and Bada sighed annoyed.

"Wow, you truly are annoying!"

"You love me."

Silence washed over the duo and Jungwon widened his eyes in shock. "T-That's not what I meant... Ehm, I mean... wow...", he scratched his nape and Bada chuckled nervously. "I-I... I'm sorry" Jungwon apologized. Bada shook her head. "It's okay" she whispered.

Awkwardness filled the air and Bada bit the inside of her cheeks. She knew how Jungwon meant this comment, still it made butterflies erupt in her stomach. They were flying here and there, completely uncontrollable.

"Should we head into the auditorium now?", she asked and Jungwon nodded quickly. He was still embarrassed about how careless he was throwing around words like this. But he calmed down once he realized that Bada didn't seem to make a big deal out of it. She didn't seem to care.

They walked into the screening room and found their seats. Once they sat down, they started to munch on their popcorn.

"Can you believe that in a month we're already on summer break?", asked Jungwon to ease the awkward tension between the teenagers. Bada swallowed her popcorn and nodded. "Crazy right? And after the summer break we have only six months left until graduation!", she shook her head in disbelief.

"I really hope I don't need to go into summer school this year. I think GUIS has something planned in the summer break" he pouted. Bada chuckled. "If you keep your history grades up, then you'll be fine!" Jungwon chuckled. "I need a really good grade on the Korean History paper we're writing... Otherwise I'll be stuck in school for two months while y'all are spending your summers at the beach or I don't know... what are your summer plans?"

Bada pursed her lips. She hadn't spoken to her mother about her last summer break as a high school student yet. "I'll probably hang out with Wonyo a lot... Maybe a weekend by the ocean with my mother." She shook her shoulders. "It all depends on my condition. It's usually worse in the summer months" she explained and Jungwon nodded.

He had almost forgot that Bada was a weak young woman.

"What exactly are you suffering from?", he asked and Bada felt heat rush into her cheeks. Jungwon felt the girl next to him tense and gulped. "You don't need to tell me, if you're not comfortable."

"I'd like to wait a bit more until I tell you" Bada confessed and Jungwon nodded. He surely wasn't forcing the cute Blonde to spill all her secrets, just because he was curious. "I hope your condition won't ruin the summer fun for you."

She smiled. "Thanks" Bada grinned and wanted to add something, when the lights dimmed and the screen turned on. Bada looked at Jungwon once more and felt her heart do weird loop-de-loops.

But it didn't hurt this time.

It was a pleasant feeling.
