You got to go down a lot of wrong roads to find the right one

"Y/n, Victor is calling you" I groaned knowing it will be a stupid mission again. "Suck to be you" I stuck my tongue out teasing Chorong. "At least it is better than being stuck in this room" she scoffed before continuing her work ignoring me. I chuckled at her walking downstairs to meet Victor.

Its been few months we have been living with them. It wasn't as bad as we expected it would be. After the tests Victor said I have the skills to become a warrior and Chorong can be the quite observer. Which is true cause she is the one who found both flags in the test trials. If I was alone I don't think I would have observed the flag. So, when we joined the gang he placed her in a team which handles the cameras. We observe and analyze the patterns of packs security before attacking them.

Once they give us the details of security patterns and positions I come in to the picture. I am in a team which is in charge of attacking. We attack the packs and get the things we require. It could be money or people. One thing I was happy about is what Victor said is true. We only attack those packs who are not taking care of their pack people properly.

"You called for me" I said once I entered the room. He glanced up from the papers pointing to chair in front of him. I tool the seat and waited for him to talk. His office room is full of books which has almost all the packs information. He spends most of his time on finding secrets of other packs. With the information he has he could attack any pack and it sometimes scares me. "I got some news on this new pack" he passed me the file which he was reading.

"What about it?" I asked him lazy to read all the information. He glared at me for not reading on my own but I was oblivious to it. "This pack is one of the strongest packs in southern east. If we attack them we could possibly survive for next few months easily" I listened to him carefully. Sometimes we just attack packs and get the things we require so we can live happily. I know it sounds weird unlike all the rouges out there planning attacks for power but I like it better this way.

"This pack will have lot of security if they are strongest pack" he nodded agreeing with me. He passed another bunch of papers which have different maps on it. "These are the security patterns I got from our informers. But we have to check again if they changed anything or not" I looked at the date on the map and realized it is two years old. I am sure it won't be same anymore.

"I will ask Chorong to take a look at this pack details" I informed him grabbing the papers. "Once we are sure of this. I will inform you about the attack details" he said earning a nod from me. Every time we attack some pack we decided on the members first but Victor always makes sure Jake and I am part of the group. Jake is the one who helped me on the day of test. He has been assigned to train me right after the trails and he became one of my close friends in the group.

"Do one more thing for me" I stopped when he said that. I was leaving his room and almost out of room. He walked to me with some envelope before giving it to me. "Give this to Jake" I nodded my head before walking out of his room. I made my way to our practice room where mostly all of the gang hang out. As expected Chorong and Jake were chilling watching some drama eating popcorn. "He—" I was cut off by a pillow to my face.

I glared at them but they were so in to the drama that they didn't see my glare. I walked in front of them before switching off the monitor. "Y/n, it was so good" they both groaned. "You should learn not to ignore me" Jake scoffed before eating some popcorn. "Victor asked me to give you this" I handed him the envelope before sitting beside them. "He is planning an attack on this pack and this is the information we got" I gave them the papers along with the map.

"It is obviously an old one" Chorong commented after taking a look at map. "You have to check with new details and give us the security patterns" I said making her nod in confirmation. "It seems he wants us to go this time" Jake said pointing to the envelope he was given. I took it from him and read it. "Other team has already started their work. Once we get the security patterns we will attack them"

Before attacking any pack few of members are sent to the pack as normal humans. We prepare this special perfume which can hide the werewolf scent. They act as they are on the vacation and get all the information about pack and security. So, we attack and get the things we require. Usually Jake and I am not involved in the spy missions. We take part in the attack but it seems he wants us to go spy this time.

"Finally, we can have some fun" Jake high five me excited about the mission. You see we always have to practice and attack so things are not so good. Because we can't go out and hang out much with others. But going on spy missions includes fun trips to the places in the city. I am going to enjoy this trip for sure. "Lucky guys" Chorong pouted making us laugh. She can't come with us since she has to work on the security thing. "Don't worry we will enjoy for you too" Jake said ruffling her hair.

"You better be careful" Jake mock saluted her making us all laugh. At times like this it doesn't feel bad for staying with them. "We will get the others and leave tomorrow morning to this pack" Jake said after we are settled with our jokes. "I will work on it and inform you once I am done with this" we all agreed upon this and decided to call it a night.

They both went to their rooms while I came out for a walk. The area where we live is one of rouges hideouts. Victor never told us the complete information about the hideouts. Maybe he didn't trust us completely yet. But it is not as bad as we thought it would be. In fact, I am more comfortable here than my pack. People here respect us and we all work together. I don't have to cook for someone and no one look down on each other. I guess being kidnapped is not so bad after all.

I stood in front of the familiar trees enjoying the moon light. The place we are staying is not a part of any territory. I don't know how far it is from shadow pack though. From what I heard it is located closer to our pack. It is the place near intersection of three packs. When I heard this, I was shocked but Victor said they won't look at this part of the area cause it is abandoned for so long. Besides they might think rogues won't dare to come to a very secured area. Only if they knew how rogues think.

I sighed in bliss when I felt the cold air brush my skin. Today was the full moon which makes the forest glow with moon light and its so serene. I often come here when I feel stressed or tired. Nature is the best way to refresh yourself if you ask me. I took off my clothes before shifting in to wolf so that she can enjoy some time too. I made my way back to home after a long run feeling exhausted.

I woke up at six in the next morning and got ready. I made my way to kitchen to check whether any one got up or not. "Morning y/n" one of the guys in our group greeted me. I never bothered much with their names cause every time we go on spying and pack fights they use fake names. Its hard to remember all the different names and besides we don't have same groups all the time. Based on the pack and security the members also change.

"Can't you wear something decent for once" I looked at myself before looking at Chorong. "I am decent" I am wearing the black ripped jeans with tank top. To match it I am wearing my black leather jacket on it. "You look like mafia girl" I snorted at her comment. "You are pretending to be on a date with your boyfriend. You should wear something cute" Jake and I am going together while remaining group are coming separately. They are going to be the friends who are out on a trip.

"Can't girls like me get any date?" I took the cereal and milk pouring it in the bowl. "You won't listen to me ever" she pouted cutely while I shook my head at her. "You know me" she sighed giving up on convincing me. She poured juice in the glass and gave it to me. "Make sure to come safe" I smiled at her concern. I came to know that she is one year older than me but however I always call her by her name. She gets mad sometimes but it just became habit to call her with her name.

"Ready to go?" we all got up and made our way to cars. "Everyone remember the plan, right?" they all nodded and Jake gestured me to get in his car. Once the cars left we made our way to this pack. It is an hour drive from here. "Where are we heading to first?" I asked Jake when we are on the main road. "Let's go to mall. I am sure half of the teenagers will be there" today is the weekend so it is obvious people will be enjoying in mall and game places. It would be easy to see lot of wolves.

"Fine. Wake me up when we reach there" I told him making myself comfortable in seat so that I can sleep peacefully. I woke up to someone shaking my arm slowly. I opened my eyes and saw Jake. "We are here" I yawned stretching my body. I looked out and saw very huge building with different shops. "Let's get it done with" he got out the car and I did the same. He gestured me to hold his hand and I did. "Do we have to do this?" he looked at me amused "Of course" I rolled my eyes knowing he is trying to tease me.

We walked to dress shops just to look around. We are wearing perfume which will mask our werewolf scent. We can see lot of wolves in the mall but not the higher ones. Since we are here I decided to do some shopping for Chorong and me. Jake told me he will look around for information. I walked in to the dress store which has this cute sweater. It was in lemon yellow color and has the checks pattern. It will look good on Chorong.

I grabbed the sweater but also someone else did at the same time. "Oh, Sorry" I looked up and saw a girl who was looking around same age as me. "Can I take it?" she asked me referring to the sweater. "My sister will love this for sure. I want to give this to her as her birthday present" she cutely begged me. "Sure, you can take it" I told her giving it to her. She squealed happily pulling me into hug.

"Thank you" she left to pay straight from there. She kind of reminded me of Minah. I sighed trying to ignore all my thoughts and walked out of the shop looking for Jake. "Where are you?" I called him to check where he is. "At food court" I rolled my eyes. I should have known he would be where the food is. "Ok, I will be there" I hang up the phone and made my way to food court.

I saw Jake sitting alone eating hamburger. I made my way to his table. "Took you long enough" I signaled waiter to come so that I can order some thing too. "Have you found anything?" he shook his head. "They all seem boring" I looked around us and realized half of the people here are wolves. "Didn't you wanted to shop?" he questioned me seeing no bags with me. "I didn't find anything interesting" I told him ignoring the meeting with that girl.

"I am done with you guys" Jake and I looked to our side when we heard very loud voice. It was the same girl with one more girl and boy. "Come on, we still have lot of shopping to do" the girl who I met said to him. "Why does it have to be me who comes with you?" this boy looked handsome and flirty from the way he was looking at the girls. "cause it's Chayeon's birthday" she replied pointing to another girl. She must be her sister for who she bought that present. So her name is Chayeon.

"Exactly, I am not interested in her birthday, Areum" Chayeon rolled her eyes. "Jimin, you know others are busy. I wanted to come with him too" Areum pouted and he sighed "When will he come back?" I was getting bored of their conversation but Jake signaled me to pay attention. "He told me he will be here by tomorrow" she stated sadly. "Till then I am stuck with you both. No hot girls and dates" yup definitely a player.

"I still wonder why he left you with us. You know if he is not alpha I would have kicked his butt for choosing you" they started bickering to each other while Areum tried to stop them. Jake signaled me to leave but before we can leave Areum spotted us. Busted.
