He thinks he's so smart after making me lose my temper like that...he'll regret his foolishness.

...

I needed to cross the road to get to that bar, fortunately there were no cars here...but in this world, maybe the cars could fly or be invisible or something like that.

As I looked both ways and I crossed, I heard the horn of a large truck that blasted my eardrums. It was so close to me and it was ready to flatten me, but I was paralysed by fear so I couldn't do anything.

I had no time to get away, all I could do was close my eyes and wait to be hit...

...

I opened my eyes.

I wasn't dead. The truck completely vanished. Not only that, but golden dust surrounded me where the truck should've hit me. Could it be that when the truck collided with me, it turned to dust? Just like it did with those people on the street?

Alyssa could've killed me easily with that truck, but she didn't...

I was almost distracted by the beautiful sight, until the dust disappeared into the night sky and I remembered that I had someone to save.

Once I finally walked in, I saw both Claudia and Thomas sitting down having a drink. Claudia wasn't even 18 yet and she was doing something like this.

In fact, she looked younger here than she does now...

I looked at the calendar that was hanging on the wall, and I noticed that the year was different than it was back in the "real world".

It was two years before then...did Alyssa make me travel through time? If so, that doesn't explain the golden dust, and why I couldn't understand what the people around me were saying...

But now was not the time to think about that. For now, I had to try and convince her to stop what she's doing, but if I did then Thomas would probably beat me to death in front of all these people. Unless...they would all turn to dust if I made contact with them.

No one could see me anyway, so maybe this was just like on the outside with the truck and those people. Maybe I would be safe.

I walked towards them to try and listen to their conversation, but even when I got close I had no idea what they were saying because the many people here were so loud.

Unlike the others though, they were actually speaking in words and not something that was impossible to understand.

"Thomas, I don't want to do this..."

"Why not?"

"I don't like it here..."

"But they serve the best beer here, why wouldn't you?"

I sensed a little anger in Thomas's voice, and I knew Claudia did. I was already angry from listening to this conversation, but I couldn't jump to conclusions. I had to know all the important details.

"I'd rather just be alone with you..."

Who would want to be alone with him?

"Well, I want to not have shitty parents and a girlfriend who doesn't complain, but we can't always have what we want, can we?"

Claudia just sighed and said nothing, maybe she was just too afraid to speak.

Suddenly a group of boys walked towards Thomas, and then they started talking about...well, I didn't know what they were talking about, it was probably just to do with football or sex.

Whatever they were saying seemed to be funny for them since they were laughing loudly, not caring that there were other people around. Then again, no one else noticed since everyone was watching the game, their cheers were even louder.

Then once they all left, Claudia was sitting alone. She looked rather depressed, and she didn't touch her drink.

I thought she was the type of person who would enjoy places like this...I guess I wrong.

But maybe it wasn't just the setting that was making her upset. I knew that the relationship between her and Thomas wasn't a good one, it makes me wonder why Claudia would put up with this.

Thomas returned alone with an arrogant smile on his face. I swear, it frustrated me so much I wanted to touch him so he would turn into golden dust.

"So...where were we?" He asked.

"You left me to go with your friends. Again."

This time she looked genuinely pissed off, which was a little scary.

"Come on, I had too..."

"Why do you keep doing this? You've changed so much..."

This time, Thomas looked pissed off, and I could see him clenching his fist.

"Ever since you started drinking and smoking...you keep hurting me. Both physically and mentally. That's why my mother doesn't want you seeing me anymore."

He said nothing. Claudia was almost on the verge of tears, but she was trying to stay calm. It must have taken courage to admit something like that...

I watched in horror as he grabbed her wrist as hard as he could, taking Claudia by surprise.

"Do you think you can talk to me like that and get away with it?"

"N-no, please don't..." she whispered, so the people surrounding us wouldn't hear them.

I couldn't do this. Whether this was real or not, I had to help my sister. Maybe if I touched Thomas, he would turn to golden dust just like everything else.

As he was about drag Claudia out of the bar, I touched his jacket, hoping that he would be erased. But that didn't happen...

Instead, when I touched him I stained his jacket with a dark substance that started to envelop him. I stepped back, afraid of what was about to come...

It wasn't just him, but everyone in the bar except for me were covered completely by that black substance. They all stood in place like statues. The only person who wasn't affected was me.

I heard Alyssa laughter from up above once again, I knew that now was my time to fight.
