I stared at the little boy in front of me. His curly brown hair was curly as he watched the small flame grow, but he didn't move.

"Where's my son?" I heard a frantic screaming I could only recognize as my mother.

"Mommy?" Little version of me asked, not moving from his position.

My mother rushed in and leaped over the fire, telling me to run yet I didn't. I just stayed there, staring at her and the flames.

Then it fell. The pillar that should've crushed me but she pushed me out of the way. I remember asking her to get up, but she was gone.

The firefighters pulled me out, and disposed of the body. I was told to wait, and I never did get a straight answer that my mom was gone.

Letting out a few shaky breaths, the scene in front of me changed. Maybe it should've been the funeral, but I hadn't gone.

Even at a young age I knew it was my fault.

Instead, the scene showed me the night I had at the graveyard. The young version of me sat in front of my mothers grave, holding a rose in his small hand.

"Mommy?" Little Leo's voice broke, "why did you leave me behind? I want to go with you,"

No response.

I wished someone had come up and explained that she died to protect me, that she didn't leave me behind.

But no one ever came. No one ever told me it wasn't my fault. No one ever wanted to help.

The past version of me curled up next to the grave, resting his curly head on the dirt, the only place he could even feel close to his mom.

The scene didn't change much. It just showed an older version walk, more and more until I saw a future kid go and sit at the grave.

No, it wasn't just any kid. His sea green eyes were undeniable and I knew it was Percy. I got a better look at the graves name which has changed.

Leo Valdez.

I stayed frozen as Percy came over and comforted me. The land around us shifted and thousands of clocks surrounded us. Along with a bright light.
