There's a feeling that my heart gets

When voices become raised
And suddenly you're "arguing"
Over something dumb

I know it won't last long
And you say you love each other...

But it doesn't stop the fear I get
When you begin your "arguing"

You say you aren't fighting
And say "we're going to be fine"
But my heart still starts to ache
And my eyes no longer smile

It makes me panic every time
But right now you're still together
I just start to worry
Maybe one day you won't be

And I know that all this worrying
Is useless and causes me pain
But that's what you get
When your anxiety refuses to let go

So for now
I'll keep my worrying
And you will still stay "arguing"
I just hope it doesn't ever escalate

Too quickly

Okay I had no reason for writing that except a thing that happened to me a month or two ago, and I just needed to get it out in the form of really crappy poetry.
