The morning sun filtered through the curtains of Y/N's dorm room, casting a warm glow over her desk cluttered with textbooks and notes. She stretched lazily, the events of the previous evening playing back in her mind. Today was the day they would prepare for their adventure to the haunted mansion. The thought sent a thrill through her, mixed with a tinge of apprehension.

As she made her way to the campus café for breakfast, she found her friends already gathered at their usual table. They greeted her with a mix of excitement and nervous energy.

"Morning, Y/N!" Jungkook called out, waving her over. "Ready for tonight?"

"Morning," Y/N replied, taking a seat. "As ready as I'll ever be. Did everyone bring their supplies?"

Namjoon nodded, patting his backpack. "I brought the book and a few other essentials. Flashlights, batteries, and a map of the mansion grounds I found online."

Seokjin held up a bag. "Snacks and water. Can't go exploring on an empty stomach."

Yoongi smirked, holding up his camera. "I've got this baby fully charged. We'll document everything."

Hoseok and Jimin displayed their contributions: a first aid kit and additional flashlights.

"Looks like we're all set," Y/N said, feeling a surge of confidence. "Let's go over the plan one more time."

The group huddled closer, discussing the logistics of their adventure. They agreed to meet at Seokjin's dorm room after dinner, where they would double-check their supplies before heading out. Jungkook, the self-appointed leader of the expedition, emphasized the importance of staying together and being cautious.

As the day wore on, anticipation built up. Y/N found it difficult to concentrate in her classes, her mind drifting to the mansion and what they might find there. The legend of the Mansion of Lost Souls played over and over in her head, blending with the excitement of the unknown.

After her last class, Y/N decided to take a walk to clear her mind. The campus was bustling with students, everyone wrapped up in their own worlds. She found a quiet spot under a large oak tree and sat down, pulling out her notebook to jot down her thoughts.

As she wrote, she felt a sense of unease creeping in. It was as if the impending adventure had awakened something deep within her—a mix of curiosity and fear. She couldn't shake the feeling that this was more than just a dare; it was a journey into the unknown.

That night, after dinner, Y/N returned to her dorm room to pack her things. She carefully laid out her supplies: a flashlight, extra batteries, a small first aid kit, and a few snacks. Satisfied with her preparations, she decided to lie down for a quick rest before meeting her friends.

As soon as she closed her eyes, she found herself drifting into a fitful sleep. She was standing in front of the mansion, the air thick with an ominous presence. The mansion loomed before her, dark and foreboding, its windows like eyes staring into her soul. She stepped forward, the ground beneath her feet feeling cold and unforgiving.

Inside, the mansion was a labyrinth of shadows and whispers. She wandered through its halls, her footsteps echoing in the silence. The air grew colder, and a sense of dread settled over her. She felt as if she were being watched, the weight of unseen eyes pressing down on her.

In one room, she saw a figure standing by the window. It was a young girl, her face obscured by darkness. Y/N tried to approach her, but the girl turned and vanished, leaving behind a sense of profound sadness. The walls seemed to close in, and the whispers grew louder, filling her mind with an unintelligible cacophony.

Suddenly, Y/N found herself in a large, dimly lit room. In the center stood an ornate mirror, its surface reflecting not her own image but that of the young girl. The girl reached out, her hand pressing against the glass, as if trying to escape. Y/N felt a surge of panic as the mirror began to crack, the sound echoing through the room like the tolling of a bell.

Just as the mirror shattered, Y/N jolted awake, her heart pounding. She sat up, gasping for breath, her mind struggling to process the nightmare. It had felt so real, so vivid, yet it was shrouded in a haze of confusion. She couldn't shake the feeling that the dream was a warning, a glimpse into the darkness that awaited them.

She glanced at the clock—it was almost time to meet her friends. Shaking off the remnants of the nightmare, she grabbed her bag and headed to Seokjin's dorm room.

"Hey, you okay?" Jungkook asked as she walked in, noticing the lingering tension in her expression.

"Yeah, just a weird dream," Y/N replied, forcing a smile. "Let's get this started."

The group gathered their supplies and went over the plan one last time. The air was thick with a mix of excitement and apprehension, each of them feeling the weight of the unknown adventure ahead.

Namjoon pulled out the map, spreading it on the table. "According to this, there's a side entrance that's less likely to be noticed. We should use that to get in."

Hoseok nodded, checking the batteries in the flashlights. "Good idea. We need to stay as quiet as possible."

Yoongi adjusted the settings on his camera, his expression focused. "I'll document everything, but let's make sure we stick together. No wandering off."

Seokjin distributed the snacks and water, making sure everyone had enough for the night. "If anyone feels uncomfortable or wants to leave, we all leave together. No questions asked."

Jimin, always the optimist, tried to lighten the mood. "This is going to be an adventure we'll never forget. Let's make it a good one."

Y/N felt a sense of solidarity as she looked around at her friends. They were in this together, ready to face whatever awaited them in the haunted mansion. Despite her lingering unease, she knew they had each other's backs.

As they finished their preparations and the time to set off drew near, Y/N couldn't help but think back to her nightmare. The vision of the young girl and the shattering mirror lingered in her mind, a haunting reminder of the mansion's dark history. She hoped it was just her imagination, a manifestation of her nerves, but deep down, she knew their adventure would be anything but ordinary.

With a final nod of determination, they gathered their things and headed out, the anticipation building with each step. Tonight, they would confront the unknown, and together, they would face whatever lay within the Mansion of Lost Souls.
