Studying the English language in an English-speaking country is the best but not the only way to learn language.

Spending time in an English-speaking country is a really essential experience for the English-learners as well as the best way to study the language. However, I believe it is not the only way to learn the language.

Firstly, studying the basics of English at secondary school is less stressful than learning the language while overseas. This is because students living at home do not have to worry about problems such as finding accommodation, paying for their study and living costs and so on. Moreover, they could spend more time studying english and less time trying to survive in a foreign country where day to day living causes much stress.

However, there are obvious advantages of learning English in Britain. Everyday there are opportunities to practise listening to and speaking with native foreigners. Also, students can expand their experience about many range of the culture which is a great help when trying to understand the language. Nevertheless, nowaday, internet is really very popular. Students can find extra information about culture as well as make native friends on internet easily to enrich their knowledge. Therefore, providing that the learner is hard-working enough,I sure that they can learn English well in any countries.

Finally, there are different methods to practise your english skills such as watching English television, reading English books, magazines and so on. The combination of some of these methods might be a really useful strategy. If the student is responsible and works hard, they can achieve success in studying not only English but also any other languages.

In conclusion, it is a good idea to study English in a country such as Britain or american. However, I believe that there are many other effective strategies for learning English which are useful enough.

As we know, parents play a very important role in our life. It's they that bear, rear and support us while they are strong enough and we are small. In reverse, how should we treat them when they are so old that they can't support us anymore, even care for themselves?whether should we let them live in nursing home or not?In my opinion,it's better to keep elderly parents at home for 3 following reasons.

Firstly, elderly parents can enjoy a good caring from their children. In fact, not all children behave well towards their elderly parents. However, the number of those is not great.Almost everyone is aware that parents are people who have dedicated themselves to rearing their children. Thus,it's the children's duty to serve their parents. Thus,a good caring coming from the children's heart can be expected.

Secondly, some elderly parents can have enough ability to join hands in certain trivial work such as taking care of grandchildren or doing gardening. This not only helps them take exercise but also bring them pleasure when they somehow reduce the burden to their children.

The last and most important reason is that living at home can bring elderly parents a rich love life. This can be true because when living at home, the elderly can get from their offspring regular regards such as "How are you?" or "how much did you eat today?"enclosed with encouraging words such as "keep your health good!" or "try to eat as much as possible".Or the offsprings can show their concerns for parents with some small gifts like fruit,sweet,clothes....

Although they are small actions, they can bring the elderly a great pleasure.Besides this, the elderly can also gain lots of joy from gossiping with neighbourhood peers or joining some local clubs for the elderly.

The supporters of nursing home can say that it's better for the elderly to live in nursing home with a professional staff and well-equipped facilities. This is not always the better. It's only the best in some special circumstances such as disabled parents,ill-treated parents by their children or parents whose children are too poor to give them a good care. Moreover,it can't be completely sure that the staff will take after them by the whole heart, deep acknowledge and also natural duty like the children.

In conclusion, nursing home can be the best in certain cases. But in general,it's the better for the elderly to live at home with their offspring. This not only satisfies the psychology demands of the elderly but also suits to the law"Children must have responsibility with their parents when they are old".

Should Sex Education Be Introduced To Schools In An Attempt To Curb Problems Such As Teenage Pregnancy?

There is no reason why sex shouldn’t be regarded as a shool- subject like mathematics, literature…Most of adults knows the importance of sex in human kind’s spiritual life, but do they recognize the postitive role of sex education atschool in attempt to curb problem such as teenage pregnancy? The following reasons will show why sex should be introduced to schools

Firsly, pupils are human beings, adults-to-be, so they obviously have the right to know how their physical bodies work. They themselves are their own bosses, therefore, it’s necessary to understand their “body-machines” to control them properly. If they get sex education at schools, they will learn in a right way to be sex-knowledgeable adults. Then, they will be aware of themselves, know the best things for them as well as recoginise serious results of sex.

Secondly.at the age of schools boys and school girls, they have complicated and curious characters, therefore, adults should help them know much more about sensitive problems like sex. They tend to imitate adults’s behaviours to prove they are already adults, too. In that way, they will give themselves the right to be curious about sex. They want to explore or try to know what sex is, how sex is, and why adults can do as well as understand well while they cant. This is also the main reason for teenage pregnancy according to a recent survey. And this reason may refer to a proverb “ Curiosity kills the cat”, thus, “ No curiosity, no cat killed”. Let children reveal the mystery of sex naturally and openly in their own schoolsto help them lead healthy lives with sex.

The opponents of sex introduction to schools may say that if we introduce sex to schools, we unintentionally encouragechildren to desire for sex. It’s absolutely wrong. Man usually doesn’t like or want to explore anything he knows much or clearly. Man is often killed of his curiosity. If sex becomes familiar things, children don’t have to try to understand secretly. As a result,...

A lot of people may say that space exploration should be abolished because it is a waste of money, but think of how much we have advanced in our knowledge of space. This has to be known because some of the planets and moons we have discovered are suitable for us to live on when we move from Earth, so it is essential that man knows about space and we constantly have to keep updating and developing our knowledge.

"I don't think the human race will survive the next thousand years, unless we spread into space. There are too many accidents that can befall life on a single planet. But I'm an optimist. We will reach out to the stars." Stephen Hawking. This is very important because our human race is vulnerable to the effects of space and if we do not move, according to Stephen Hawking, man will not survive.

"The Earth is just too small and fragile a basket for the human race to keep all its eggs in." Robert Heinlein. It is a fact that the world is continuously growing and we must move; resources are abating, but the population is still growing.

The world population is the total number of living humans on Earth at a given time. As of 21 January 2010, the Earth's population is estimated by the United States Census Bureau to be 6 797 700 000. The world population has been growing continuously since the end of the Black Death around 1400. The fastest rates of world population growth were seen quickly during the 1950s then for a longer period during the 1960s and 1970s (see graph). World births have levelled off at about 134 million per year, since their peak at 163 million in the late 1990s, and are expected to remain constant. However, deaths are only around 57 million per year. Because births outnumber deaths, the world's population is expected to reach 9 billion in 2040.

Space exploration benefits are various and they have contributed substantially to expand the human frontiers of science. The most important of all the benefits of space exploration is that it provided mankind with a challenge. Next, the knowledge that man gained out of his efforts that he made to explore the space. With the help of his spacecrafts and satellites, he realized that his theories regarding the universe are true.

The first thought is basically important that creates a yardstick for further accomplishments. The space exploration started when man tried to judge whether the stars that rise in the sky after the Sun sets. This curiosity about the stars was realized in the space exploration benefits in the form of astronomy and navigating the oceans. While doing this the stars acted as the beacons, the torch bearer for us.

Next, were the theories about the planets, the sun and universe; which you could count as the benefits of space exploration. What and who makes them work? Using these wisps of thoughts to overcome the limits of the gravity of the Earth, man tried to explain, with the help of binoculars and telescopes, the existence of universe, planets, the Sun, the moon and ultimately, his own.

The study of the Sun, a star, made man realizes that nuclear energy can be a resource too. Hence forth, mankind reaped another benefit of the space exploration in the form of a new energy source, that no one has used before.

In 1945, Sir Arthur C. Clarke broadcasted the idea of satellite communication and then we found the long awaited reason to leave the Earth. The space-exploration moved out of the margins of the brain.

Space shuttle launch realized the chance for a common man to go on a space travel. NASA and the rest of the agencies involved in space exploration launched many spacecrafts to explore our solar system.

We realize now what a big difference space exploration has made in our lives and will develop man's knowledge

Mankind must always struggle to expand its horizons. The desire to know what lies beyond current knowledge, the curiosity that constantly pushes at the boundaries of our understanding, is one of our noblest characteristics. The exploration of the universe is a high ideal – I believe space truly is the final frontier. The instinct to explore is vitally human; already some of our most amazing achievements have taken place in space. Nobody can deny the sense of wonder, world-wide, when for the first time a new man-made star rose in the sky, or when Neil Armstrong first stepped onto the moon. Space exploration converses to that part of us which rises beyond the everyday.

The utilization of space has directly changed our world. Satellites orbiting the Earth allow us to converse immediately with people on dissimilar continents, and to broadcast to people all over the world. The Global Positioning System allows us to pinpoint our location anywhere in the world. Without discovering space we would not have Global Positioning Systems. Weather satellites save lives by giving advance warning of adverse conditions, and together with other scientific instruments in orbit they have helped us understand our own world better. We could not make forecasts of weather which a lot of people depend on. Research into climate change, for example, would be almost impossible without the data provided by satellites. Satellites hold information that the majority of people do not even know about. People depend on space exploration, yet they do not even know.

Space exploration has also led to many indirect benefits. The challenge and difficulty of the space programme, and its ability to draw on some of the finest minds, has brought about great leaps in technology. The need to reduce weight on rockets led to shrinking, and so to the micro-chip and the modern computer. The need to produce safe but efficient power-sources for the Apollo missions led to the development of practical fuel-cells, which are now being explored as a possible future power-source for cleaner cars. The effects of zero-gravity on astronauts have substantially added to our knowledge of the workings of the human body, and the ageing process. We can never know exactly which benefits will emerge from the space programme in future, but we do know that we will constantly meet new obstacles in pursuit of our goals, and in overcoming they will find new solutions to old problems. We understand - just maybe - .1% about space and space-time. We must proceed with future missions and create more.

People argue that we could spend the money feeding children in need. However, space exploration has benefitted the whole world in many ways as mentioned previously so it is not only benefitting only one sector of people.

Space exploration is an investment in the future. Our world is rapidly running out of resources. Overpopulation could become a serious worldwide threat. In this position, it would be foolish to ignore the vast potential of our own solar system – mining resources on asteroids or other planets, or even the possibility of colonising other worlds. If we fail to continue to develop the ability to take advantage of these possibilities, we may in the future find it is too late.

Some people think governments should spend as much money as possible exploring outer space (for example, traveling to the Moon and to other planets). Other people disagree and think governments should spend this money for our basic needs on Earth. Which of these two opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

Here's my article. Please give me some suggestion, thanks a lot.

I do not agree that governments should spend as much money as possible to invest the development of outer space. According to the report, we all know the tough situation of people in Russia because of large amount of money spending for the exploration of outer space. Hence, it is more appropriate to spend this money for our basic needs on earth. There are couples of reasons why I embrace this point.

It is more down to earth to fix the problem of people's living condition. People who live not only in Russia but also many countries are leading a miserable life, hence what they need is to satisfy the basic needs for life. So if they don't need to worry about their lives in the future, there will be less financial problems for the government and the whole society will get better off in the future. I think this is the basic function the government should provide.

In addition to the economic  issue, the issue of alternative energies could be another problem. If governments spend most money searching an appropriate planet for people to live in, they will have limited funds to support to investigation of this project. Based on many studies, the amounts of oil may exhaust in this century, therefore if we don't have alternatives in our hands, it's hard to imagine how we can survive in a such condition. For the reason, I strongly recommend to spend more money on the issues which are related to earth.

Based on the issue of alternatives energies, it also bring another problems. Since the government find a planet which is able for people to live in, is it impossible to move all the people to the new place ? It could be far away from the earth, so it's unlikely for people to get there. What is more worse, the government end up with nothing. Because the studies of finding a suitable planet has investigated for many years, it is very likely finding nothing in this infinite space.

In conclusion, it is impractical to spend as much money as possible on outer space because it may be a waste of money and may deteriorate the quality of lives. On the contrary, spend this money on the earth could fix all these problems.

Topic: Some people think governments should spend as much money as possible exploring outer space (for example, traveling to the Moon and to other planets). Other people disagree and think governments should spend this money on our basic needs on Earth. Which of these two opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

In many different countries, the amount of money spent on space programs is increasing every year. Recently, however, whether or not to spend money in this area has become a hot debate. Some people think the government should be using those resources to help solve world problems rather than on the advancement of space travel. I agree with this opinion because the Earth’s environment is in a lot of trouble, and hunger is a worldwide problem that does not seem to be getting any better.

There are numerous environmental problems on the Earth that require attention and money to solve. For example, air pollution is constantly damaging the Earth in many ways, from forming holes in the ozone layer that surround the Earth to killing off various plants and animals. Instead of spending huge amounts of money on space exploration and discovery, that money should be spent on research and development concerning cleaner manufacturing methods and car engines that do not pollute the air. It is obvious that the environmental problems on the Earth are far more important than traveling in space. If we cannot survive on our planet, all of research and money spent on space exploration will be a waste of time and money anyway.

It is not a good policy to spend billions of dollars on space programs when the lives of millions of starving people could be saved. For instance, if you look on the Internet or television, you can regularly see articles and programs concerned with people around the world that do not have enough to eat. Food is a basic need for everyone. Space exploration, while interesting, is very low on the list of priorities for the starving people on the Earth. Perhaps, in the future, when hunger has been eliminated, it will be okay to focus time and money on space exploration. However, at the moment, the money being spent on space exploration is needed to meet the basic needs of people around the world.

It is true that space exploration is interesting, but with current conditions on the Earth, the time and money spent on it should be redirected. There are big problems with worsening environmental conditions and hungry people in the world, which are more important and need to be taken care of. Perhaps, in the future, conditions will be better for further space exploration.
