The moon shone bright and the stars glittered like scattered jewels. He strode through the darkness, clothes billowing like smoke behind him. It had been several years since he had last seen her, and tonight, they would be together forever.

Mrs. Pratt opened the door, seemingly surprised to see him. "Daniel! It's been so long! Rachel arrived this morning, come in and we'll talk!"

Rachel's olive eyes widened as she ran into his arms. "I've missed you."
"Don't worry, we will never be apart again." He whispered, sinking his fangs into her slender neck.
