I really agree with this confession-headcanon.

Before getting on to Apple, I need to mention Raven for just a little bit. Don't get upset, because after all, they share a fairytale.

I've sort of thought that it was really strange that Raven wasn't the one who owned the magic mirror.

Because so many people are familiar with the story of Snow White (people of the EAH fandom, if you aren't on top of your fairytale story game, please get to that point so you understand everything) we all know that the Evil Queen used the Magic Mirror to ask if she was "The Fairest of Them All".

But in the world of Ever After, Apple has a mirror that speaks while Raven doesn't. Or maybe she does, however that may be beyond our knowledge.

Apple really is insecure. In the books, it mentions several times that Apple doesn't think she is fit for queendom. She has a couple of moments that I feel could connect to real-life. Apple just seems so stressed out with trying to become the best that she could be in order to please her mother. And because her mother's story is so well-known, it would be a crime to do anything outside of what she was told to do.

This is also probably why Apple was so distraught and upset with Raven during the Legacy Day saga. I can now see now she thought Raven was being selfish, because honestly, both didn't see the other side of the book cover. Apple was so nervous about her expectations and believed that no one understood her (which no one really did). Apple, next to Lizzie is one of the most misunderstood characters in Ever After High. There is so much more to her than her beauty.
