In the school dance studio Midnight was waiting for his turn to audition for the school production of Swan Lake. There was others auditioning as well such as Apple, Daring, Maddie for starters.

The person currently auditioning was Duchess Swan Daughter of The Swan Princess Odette the White swan to his Black swan. He did admit duchess was a brilliant dancer her moves were flawless and graceful as someone of Swan Lake should be in his moms opinion. His mom would make him spend hours practicing and rehearsing until he thought he was gonna pass out. As a boy he had to work twice as hard since boys weren't as naturally flexible as girls were.

As duchess finished she took a bow to the people in charge of the auditions Baba Yaga, one of the twelve dancing princesses and professor pies piper. "Wonderful my dear truly astounding" professor pied piper said. "Thank you thank you" she said faking humility. She turned to midnight and smirked before leaving and yet I'm the villain he thought. "Next we have Midnight Black" Baba Yaga called.

Midnight went in front of the faculty as the music started to play and began to dance the best he could showing off all the deep emotions he felt inside. Everyone was looking at him in awe struck the teachers the other students they couldn't turn away. As he finished dancing he noticed tears in the eyes of everyone. Everyone stood up and clapped as loud as they could. Midnight smiled at them and left feeling really good about his chances.

The next day everyone who auditioned gathered around the cast list for the production of Swan Lake. "Move aside everyone move aside" duchess said pushing her way threw the crowd. She smirked as she looked for her name on the cast list and ice she did she screamed "THIS THIS IS A TRAVESTY A MISTAKE" she said before storming off. Midnight couldn't help but laugh at the angry duchess. He checked his roles and saw that some certain roles genders had been switched

Prince Siegfried: Darling Charming

"Alright looks like Darling  is playing the role of prince Siegfried or should I say princess" Midnight read out loud.

He went back to the list

Von Rothbart: Duchess Swan

Midnight burst out laughing at that and now understand why duchess was upset the daughter of swan lakes heroine playing the role of the main villain "classic" he said.

Odile The Black Swan: Apple White

"Huh got to say not sure how to feel about that" Midnight said.

As he went back to the list he went wide eyed at  who he saw was cast as Odette

Odette The Swan Queen: Midnight Black

Just then Raven walked by and saw the cast list. "Wow your playing the  role of the Swan Queen that's a bit ironic" Raven said. "And I am dead if my mom hears about this she'll wring my neck" Midnight said. "Yeah she's always been over dramatic" Raven said

Midnight was sitting in the cafeteria wondering why in the name of all that's evil would they choose him the son of Odile for the role of Odette. Just then Duchess walked in fuming "oh boy here we go" he said and prepared for her.

Duchess stopped at his table. "HOW DARE YOU STEAL MY ROLE FROM ME ISN'T IT BAD ENOUGH YOU GET MY HAPPILY EVER AFTER WHEN WE GRADUATE!!!" Duchess shouted.

Midnight was taken back but straightened himself out. " okay first off calm down" he said lowering his hands. "And secondly I don't know why they choose me for the role of your mom maybe I'm a better dancer than you" Midnight smirked. "Oh please no one is a better dancer than me" Duchess said. "Then how come your not playing the lead" Midnight teased.

Duchess screamed in frustration and walked away furious. "Today is a good day" Midnight said

After Rehearsals Midnight was hanging out with Lizzie at the Mad Hatters tea shoppe. Midnight always likes wonderland and he found this place very fun when you needed to unwind. "So how was play rehearsals" Lizzie asked. "It was really good expect duchess glaring at me the whole time" Midnight said. "You do know she's my roommate this year right" Lizzie said. "And that's why we never hang out at your dorm" Midnight said. "Why do you and Duchess not get along" Lizzie asked. Midnight sighed. "I tried for years to be nice to her when we were kids it wasn't so bad but after she found her destiny as the next Odette that's when things went down hill I still tried to be nice to her but whenever I did she would go all black swan on me" Midnight said. "Well maybe one day you two won't hate each other" Lizzie said. "I doubt it it's our destiny to be enemies and it's only going to get worse the closer we get to Legacy day" Midnight said.

" You get it right after  all you are supposed to be the enemy of the next Alice" Midnight said. "But we aren't me and Alistair were good friends back home but he didn't make it out in time before wonderland was sealed off" Lizzie said looking down at his cup of tea.

Midnight saw Lizzies distress of this and decided to try and lighten it up. "So Alistair is he cute" Midnight asked giggling. "Yes lots of girls liked him back home" Lizzie said smiling. "And I thought you weren't really into future hero's" Lizzie said. "Hey I still get crushes even though I'm destined for the next prince or princess Siegfried and your destined for the next King of Hearts" Midnight giggled. Lizzie soon joined in too

Meanwhile back at the ever after high dorm Duchess was in her room writing a letter. Once she was done she smirked as she checked it. "If Midnight thinks he can steal my role he's got another thing coming" Duchess smirked and sent it away. "Boy is Midnight in for a shock" Duchess rubbed her hands together thinking of Midnights reaction.
