Basically someone murdered Quail and framed Teal, and Lily got very angry and murdered Teal on the spot, and for unknown reasons Teal's consciousness didn't die and began existing in Lily's dreams. After months and years of being trapped in a blank white space, Teal went insane and spent her days attempting to recreate her favourite scenery from the real world from her fragmented memories, and sometimes Lily would see Teal standing in a grassy meadow or on top of a mountain laughing before Teal noticed her and switched the scenery to a black void and gave Lily terrifying nightmares.
