She can read, but not very good and you would never see her open a book. She considers them boring and a waste of time.

PERSONALITY
How would one describe lady Azalea in one word? Dumb. Uneducated. Seductive. Devilish. Arrogant. Snobby. It's safe to say our little lady hasn't the best reputation. Her beauty is without rival, but her personality tends to scare people away. If only she could keep her pretty little mouth shut and smile, one would might forget all rumours about her and marry her on spot.

Let's start with the first words describing her. Dumb and uneducated. Even Azalea wouldn't deny those accusations. She knows she isn't the smartest. She had abandoned her education and knows very little about the world. Some might call her naive, as she knows next to nothing about politics and schemes. Her whole life she has but one wish, to be loved by a family. She never knew a mothers love, she never knew a fathers embrace. All she had known are nannies and cold looks. She wants to he loved so badly, that she seeks the approval and love from everybody around her. She tries to be perfect for them. She tries to be as cold as she can, because if she's cold, than maybe they will love her. She tries to be as pretty as she can, because someone once told her that beauty was the most important thing about a woman. Which is also why she's so vain. She considers her beauty her number one trait, the number one reason why she's lovable. She will do whatever it takes to be approved by those she looks up too. Even if it means that she will become a horrible person. She doesn't see it that way. Azalea thinks that if she's just like those around her, than she will be accepted. She just wants to be loved. If someone would just show her how much better she could be by showing her a little love. If only someone would actually care for the girl. It only she wasn't so alone. Than maybe, just maybe, she would be a better person. At this moment, she would marry anyone, if they show her any kind of affection. This is also the reason why she's so obsessed with love. She will fall for anyone who gives her any kind of affection. As long they love her, she will love them. Unconditionally. In short, this girl just needs a hug.

BACKGROUND
Azalea was born from the Duke of Aserlin and his wife, the duchess. The moment she came on the Earth, she was unwanted. Why? Because the marriage between the Duke and the Duchess was nothing but a cover. Their marriage was no real marriage, there was no love between them, no care, nothing. The only reason they married was because of a mutual agreement. Her mother had the title but she was in debt. She needed someone with money. That was when her father came in the picture. He was the only son of a wealthy merchant, and he would inherit all his money after his death. He passed away not long after and he inherited all the moment. He made a deal with Azalea's mother's. They would marry so he could enjoy a comfortable life of status while she would get all the money he needed.

There was only one catch, they would not sleep together and if they did, she could not get pregnant. The duke had a child from his first marriage, a healthy boy of 5 and he didn't needed or wanted another child. His son was the only reminder of his late wife, a wife he loved dearly. The first years of their marriage were perfect. They didn't bother each other. The duke had the title he needed, the duchess the money she wanted and she even helped raising his son. However the peace in the house ended after a drunk night of passion. The duke, though trying to deny it due his love for his former wife, desired his new wife and after too many champagnes, he forced himself to his wife. This resulted in an unfortunate pregnancy. The comfort between the duke and the duchess was gone. The duke accused the duchess of seducing him to strengthen her position and even accused her of wanting to get rid of his son in favour of her child. The duchess, broken after what happened couldn't cope with her husband and moved away from him, to a small manor on the country side. She grew to resent the baby inside her stomach. It was nothing but a product of assault and a loveless marriage.

Azalea was born on a sunny summer day, in that small manor. The duchess screams filled the manor as she gave birth. Once she gave birth, she rejected the child on spot. She refused to even hold her. As soon Azalea was born, she turned her back to the child. When the midwife asked what would happen with the child, the duchess answered that she would be send to her distant cousin. She had written with her cousin over the course of her pregnancy and her distant cousin, who was none other than the king of france , agreed to take the child in. Though he believed it to be because she wanted her child to enjoy the best education she could. The baby was send to the palace as soon it was safe for her. At the palace she learned a lot of things, she learned how to be a lady. She learned the proper ways to bow and dance. She learned how to read. She also learned how it felt to be alone. How it felt to be unwanted. She was 8 when she learned her mother didn't want her. It was her personal maid, a maid who had worked on the estate where the duchess gave birth and send away with Azalea to serve her. She sat down with the little girl and told her what had happened and that her mother had refused to name her. The young maid asked her mistress what her daughter's name was, she said she didn't want to name her. On the way to the castle, she saw azaleas all along the way. It was like they were guiding them to the palace. This is why she decided to name the little girl Azalea.

When Azalea heard this, she felt her heart break. Her whole life she had felt like she wasn't good enough, her whole life she had tried so hard to learn everything. All because she wanted to make her parents proud. She told herself, she would never look for anyone approval again. After all, she was just the unwanted, stupid, shallow daughter of a duchess. Not long after this, devastating news, she heard her tudors talk about how dumb she was, how unworthy. That was the day she stopped caring about her education all together. Why do something she hated when no one would appreciate her effort. So she just stopped trying all together. Instead of worrying about her education, she started worrying about her appearance. It was at this moment that she started spending a lot of time with Romeo Romeo he was kind oh like her knight in shining armour. She often dreamed about him falling in love with her and being her happily ever after. That never happened. It would never happen. Deep inside she knew it, but she simply didn't care. When she was 12, she started attending balls and social gatherings. She soon earned the attention from many young man. Her young beauty and innocent look lured many towards the young girl. That plus her relationship with the royal family, it made her a wanted match. She just needed to grow older, since even the most arrogant of men wouldn't marry such a young girl. Azalea loved the attention she was getting, she is already excited for her first social season. It's the only moment where she truly feels like she's wanted. ➽Cold as ice might hate her, but Azalea sees her as mother figure of some sort. She never knew any other kind of mother and sees the queen and her mother. She is always seeking her approval, though her reputation will always prevent from earning that approval. She has a rather close relationship with all the royals, though always being told that she's lower than them.
