Zombies are then a symbol of our own mad urges to destroy ourselves, and the terrifying portent that we might succeed.

The dark of night covered the island of Sodor like a blanket. In the night sky there is an emotion churning about. The stars lights and the moon glows blankly over the island of Sodor, as if to say something is wrong.

The forest is dead still. No animals, no breeze, no people, no anything. Not even the gently crickets creaking was around. It was as if something had frightened them all out.

Just then, the low sound of the rails rattling was heard. It started low and it started to grown.

"Faster Henry! Faster! Don't look back! Keep going!" A girl in Henry's cab, Charlie, called to Henry. Henry couldn't look back if he wanted to. His face was attached to the front of the engine, but he didn't wanna look back. The sounds he heard behind him was chilling enough. The gurgling, shrieks, and roars were enough to chill a engines fire place.

His wheels were going faster and faster by the second, but the creature behind him was still getting closer and closer.

Never before had the big green engine been so terrified. Henry thought back to when he was boarded up in a tunnel for not wanting to go out in the rain. Being shut up in the tunnel was starting to sound better than what was happening to Sodor.

The sound of an unearthly scream shook the rails below Henry. Charlie looked behind her and what she saw shivered her to her core. The rotting, scar, bloody face of the engine that was once known as Spencer.

One of Spencer's eyes was missing, the other looked dead, a large scar covered his left cheek, and a large bite was at the bottom of his chin, and blood covered his mouth. To make matters worse, he looked hungry.

Henry only had one thought in his mind "I don't wanna die."

Three days before the outbreak.

If Charlie Awd had a dollar for every time she was made fun of her dads job, she would have enough to pay for her parents to go to Florida for at least six months.

Even before she was born, her dad had been working on the Sodor railway as a driver. He drove the big green engine known as Henry. Henry is a green mixed-traffic tender engine who works on The Main Line. He was originally built as a dysfunctional prototype engine, and needed special Welsh coal to operate properly. Following a accident that happened when pulling something called the Flying Kipper, Henry had then underwent an extensive rebuild, giving him a new shape and better performance.

Henry is generally well-behaved and friendly, but is sometimes arrogant. Henry is at heart, a very hard worker, but his frequent bouts of illness hinder his work. His illnesses almost always have something to do with his boiler. Unlike Gordon and James, Henry does not mind pulling trucks, especially as he is a mixed traffic engine, although when he is given the job of pulling the express whenever Gordon is unable to, this can get to his smokebox and he can act full of himself.

Of the big engines, Henry is the most likely to be respectful to engines such as Edward, Percy, Thomas and Toby on a regular basis. He does not frequently antagonise his fellow friends like Gordon and James do and usually shows remorse for his actions. These traits also make him more level-headed than his fellow big engines, who often find him trying to keep them in line, being the trio's voice of reason.

Charlie and her family have always seen Henry as a member of the family, despite that fact he was a large green engine.

Even as a little kid, Charlie enjoyed watching her dad and Henry traveling along the rails, pulling coaches, and working with trucks.

As much as her dad worked, he always made sure to spend time with Charlie and his wife. However, that didn't stop teasing from Charlies classmates, especially from kids like Lennon Lexus Ponmyth. If there ever was a museum for people you would want to straggle or kill, safe to say you would be entering through the Lennon Ponmyth exhibit.

The fall sun shinned down upon The Island of Sodor. The cool fall air gently blew throughout the island and the trees made a gently rustling sound.

Charlie yawned softly as she woke in her bedroom. She rubbed her eyes gently and got the eye crust and fallen eye lashes out of the corner's of her eyes. The seventeen year old girl ruffled her brunette hair as she got out of her bed and walked to her mirror.

Her light blue Maple Leaf sweater was wrinkled and her hair was ruffled up a bit. "Meh, I've seen worst." Charlie said as she picked up a brush and started combing her hair.

After that she put on her black jacket, dark purple shirt, and blue jean pants, and made her way downstairs to where her parents and baby brother were at.

"Ok sir I think I got all that down. But just so we are clear, you want me to bring Henry to see the new engine, along with our special visitors?" A voice from downstairs said. Charlie recognized the voice as her fathers.

The island was abuzz with excitement, Thomas the tank engine had come across an old overgrown town called Great Waterton, the largest town on Sodor when steam engines first came to the island that had since been thought to be lost. The Fat Controller decided that the restoration of the legendary lost town would be perfect for Sodor Day. So Charlie assumed that the call had something to do with it

She walked downstairs and looked at her mother who was in the kitchen and cooking bacon and pancakes, her baby brother was playing with a red ball at his high chair, and her older sister was sitting and reading a book on different kinds of sicknesses.

Charlie's mother looked up at her daughter and smiled as she saw her walking down the stairs. "Morning sweetie! Breakfast is almost ready. Just give it a few minutes." She said as she added some food coloring to the pancake batter. If there was one thing that stood out about Charlie's mother, Molly, it's that she knew how to lighten up something.

Charlie smiled and sat down at the table. Her baby brother, Howard, cooed softly as he started playing with a blue stuffed toy. Charlie looked at the toy Howard was playing with. She never could figure what what it was. It had long arms and legs and was covered in blue fur, and had yellow hands and feet.

"Cute." She said and playfully ruffled his hair.
