I look at him and then I realize that I've made a mistake. I shouldn't have asked him to meet me here. I don't want to get him involved in whatever is going on right now. I don't want him to get hurt again. I stand up and walk over to the building that used to be used for gatherings and birthday parties. Now it's nothing but an small empty building, nobody comes to this park anymore so nobody uses the building either. I sit down, and let my back rest against the brick. I pull my knees up to my chest, and rest my head on them. I don't even look up when Kevin sits down next to me. I start crying again. 

     "Shay, you know I'm always going to be here for you. You know I don't blame any of this on you. Nobody does." She puts his arm back around me. I look up at him. He reaches out and wipes a tear off my cheek. For a minute we lean in as though we are going to kiss. I realize what's happening and I lean back so that he gets the hint that I can't do this today. He doesn't retreat though, instead he continues leaning in and kisses my forehead. I place my head on his shoulder and he rests his cheek on my head. We sit like this for an hour, not saying anything. 

     "Kevin?" I ask. 

     "Yeah?" He replies, not moving. 

     "I've missed you." I whisper. 

     "I've missed you too Shay. I've missed your whole family. I miss us." He pauses. We sit in silence for a few more minutes until he stands up and extends a hand to me. 

     "Where are we going?" 

     "We're going to get you home. I heard that you're dad is back and I don't want him worrying." He pauses. "Can we meet again tomorrow? There's one more thing I want to talk to you about." 

     A million things race through my mind. What has he not told me? Is he hiding something? "Yeah, sure...... I can meet you somewhere tomorrow."

     "Okay I'll text you later with the details." I take his hand and he helps me up. I give him a hug and walk away. He understands and doesn't follow. I don't know what just happened but I know that I will meet him tomorrow.
