A/N: So I am pretty sure that you are waiting for the side story of this book because I know you want to know what happen to Natsu and Lucy after their wedding. But before we proceed to their story. I just want you to be familiar on what really happened between Kimberly and Adonis. So I hope you still read this side story despite the fact that it will focused on Kimberly's life before she dies. So I probably write at least five side story about them before I start posting the side story of Natsu and Lucy.

ADONIS's POV

SEEING her from a far smiling wholeheartedly makes my heart happy for unknown reasons. Well, I'm pretty sure what the reason is but I just can't find myself saying it to myself. Because probably, if I did recognize this reason – I'll be starting losing my own control. I don't want to do things that I'll probably regret.

She looked in my direction and waved her hand to me. Her smile always shines brightly and it always makes me smile even though I don't want to. She smiles like she owns the whole universe. This was the moment, which I realized she deserved everything in the universe but unfortunately I can't give it to her because I'm just a star.

I blinked my eyes twice when I saw her standing in front of me – pulling me in my deep thoughts "What?"

She pouted her lips as she cross her arms below her breast "I kept on calling you but you just stare on us with your glaring eyes"

"What?" I scowl "I didn't look at you like that—"

"You mean you are glaring at me" she said disbelief is visible on her face "Did I do something wrong?"

I shook my head "I'm just thinking" she frowned "And your face can help me to used my dead brain cells"

"And what do you think on my beautiful face?" she said pointing her palm on her face "An energy booster for your dead brain cells"

I shrugged my shoulder as I lean on the wall "You can say that"

"You asshole!" Her face automatically turned red because of frustration. I smiled at her then I raised my hand and patted her head. She pouted on me then turn her head on her side scowling "I hate you, Adonis"

"You don't"

"How can you be so sure about that?" her frowned got deeper as she made her eye contact to me "You don't know how I feel"

"I just know you, Kimberly" I say softly.

She didn't say anything to me. She just stared at my face as if she was memorizing each part of my face. As I did the same to her, I saw how her lips parted into a small 'o' as if she realized something but instead of vocalizing it, she remained silent. This is one of the few moments I feel that... she's near yet so far to me.

It always feels like that. It was like... every moment I can instantly lose her if I didn't hold her hand.

"You don't know anything about me, Adonis" she murmurs almost like a whisper. Before I even utter my answer to her – she turns her heals away on me. I wanted to call her name but it feels like I don't have the right to do it. So I remained mute and watched her back moving away from me.

I clenched my fist while restraining myself from following her. I have no right. I have no right to force her to stay by my side. After that day I just heard that she had left our village. I don't know what I should do - because for the first time. I regret not doing anything for her to say with me.

I should have grabbed her hand and prevented her from leaving. I should have asked her what was on her mind. And, I should have earlier admitted to myself how I really felt about her.

But, all I can think of is it is too late because she left. She left without saying goodbye. But perhaps, this is her way of not getting me hurt. Perhaps, this is her way so that I can't stop her from leaving. Probably, I really didn't have any value to her so she was able to leave without saying goodbye. Or maybe...

We are just destined to encounter but we're not meant to be.
