Exit - Epilogue
~
" I've been thinking about what you said back in Danger, Millie." Forge sighed, blinking at the fire before him. Millie glanced up from fiddling with a piece of string, twitching her ear. " If we are the last Anakis, we can't let ourselves die out." Millie glanced up at the pitch black night sky, starless. The sleeping bundle of fur beside her let out a low growl, clearly having some form of dream. " We're only so many. We can enhance the probabilities of living, but not assure it." Millie sighed, laying a paw on Aegis's tail to soothe her. " I don't know. Maybe we will find some more Anakis." Forge mumbled, watching a smolder rise into the air and vanish. " I feel weird." Millie glanced up at him, a slight grin on her face. " We all probably do." She chuckled. Forge rose to his paws, staring down the dense pine forest before him. The portal directly behind him crackled for a second, and Millie stood, too. Careful to step around the slumbering bodies, she positioned herself beside Forge. " No... like... something's watching us. I can feel it." Forge whispered, twitching as a swirl of wind brushed through his fur. " Forge..." Millie whispered, and he looked down at her wide eyes. " The creatures in Danger didn't die. They simply moved."
