Alex doesn't come back until five. I explored the cabin. The basement door is stuck and Alex's room is just like him. Tight knit but everything you need to know about him wide and open. He has a knife collection on his drawer, a bunk bed with a desk underneath while Tyler has a full bed with his desk and dresser on the other sides of the room, while with Alex its more compact.

The hall bathroom is nothing but gross with a broken mirror. I took the mirror outside and cleaned up the moss and mold growing everywhere in the bathroom with the little cleaning supplies they had. Tyler's bathroom was taken care of, so I only put my things in. I lied in his bed for a while after I woke up, smelling the last scents of his cologne that was left from him last sleeping there.

"Place looks nice," Alex chuckles as he walks into the kitchen and puts the bags of food down on the rickety table, pulling out items and putting them in cabinets or the fridge. "Did you clean all day?"

"Kind of had no choice. This place is gross." I cross my arms as I shiver. He hadn't put in heating so I'm wearing two long sleeve shirts, three pairs of socks, two pairs of pants and a thick hoodie. "How do your parents not know of this place?"

"Oh they do, so I'm only allowed to come here during my free time, otherwise I'm home and sleeping in my own bed." He notices my list of things I wrote down, picking it up and reading it. "What's this?"

"Cleaning supplies, things to put in, things I'll need," I shrug my shoulders as he reads down it, chuckling as he reads.

"Fine, I'll get you these."

"And I'd prefer to have heating in like, a week." I walk past him and sit on the couch, turning on the TV and watching the news. It's my only way to stay connected now, since I can't go on MyLife.

"And in the most recent news Mae Davis has gone missing, and based on her note to her mother that her mother will not make public, the note may hint that the MaeDa murderer has taken her. Police are doing all they can to find her–" I turn the TV off as Alex sits next to me.

"Did you say I took you?"

"I-I may have hinted at it," I bite down on my lip as he glares into me, grabbing my jaw and swinging my head his way. I look at him in fear as his eyes scream hate.

"Why would you do that. What the fuck did the note say. I told you what to write!" He yells at me and I flinch, closing my eyes tight as he yells.

"I-I said I left with you to protect everyone and not to look for me, okay!" I whimper back as he squeezes my jaw. "P-Please don't hurt me."

He lets go of my jaw, sighing and pulling his hands into his pockets. "I won't hurt you, just...I don't want them after me."

"You should have thought of that before you murdered Tyler." I stand up and storm upstairs and to Tyler's room, sliding down the door and crying into my lap, pulling at my hair as Alex bangs on the door, telling me to open it.

I've been here two weeks, and the longer I'm here the worst I get. I don't see a need to get of bed anymore, or to eat or sleep. I'll end up dead here and I'm running out of food. Alex got so mad at me last time he was here he just left and hasn't came back since. I know he comes at night when I thinks I'm asleep. I hear him come inside, and the upstairs plumbing now works and air conditioners and heaters were put in.

So I'm lying in bed, the warmth of the blankets and the heater blowing on me making me stay in bed longer. My door bursts open and I look at Alex as he pulls me out of bed and turns the heater off and opens the window, pushing me downstairs and towards the basement. "W-What're you doing?" He pulls on the door until it opens and pushes me inside, turning on the light and pulling me into a small door hidden in the darkness underneath the stairs.

"The police are coming here to see if there are any clues on the murders. Stay down here."

"W-What?!" I glare into him.

"I don't have time to explain but please, just stay quiet, stay here and hold onto these." He hands me a bag and closes the door, locking it and walking out. I turn on the light above me and bite my lip as I stare at the small cot with a dusted blanket and pillow. I'm guessing someone else would have stayed in here. I look at the vents that lead out into the home. I hear a door open. "Hello officers." Alex is so calm.

"Hello Alex, now where should we start our look?"

"Oh, in his room. It's upstairs, I'll show you." I listen to the stairs creak and I hold my hand over my mouth as my body trembles. If I make a sound, I'll end up dead. "So this is Tyler's room."

"Thank you, Alex. We can look on from here." I hear Alex hum and then ruffling and quiet talk. "Did Mae come here often?"

"I-I don't think Mae has ever been up here, but I wouldn't really know. Me and Tyler aren't really up here a lot at the same time. He comes up when his family fights, I come up when I have a part of something that needed to be fixed. Uh, last week I put in air containing and heating units and got the upstairs plumbing working."

"You're very handy I'm guessing," an officer laughs as Alex laughs. "Has Mae been up here recently?"

"Hell if I know."

"Who has been up here?"

"Me, Tyler. I think he took Jessie and Lindsay up her I think. I know he held a party here once, I had to clean up." The officers hum, the stairs creaking above me as they walk down them. The basement door shifts in its frame and their conversation is muffled.

"Why'd you lock the door?"

"It's been stuck since we've found this place, haven't been able to get it open."

"Can we try?"

He doesn't hesitate with his answer. "Yeah sure. I want to see what's down here." I hear the door get banged on and my breathing hitches as I listen to it come free. The light clicks on and move behind the cot and further below the stairs quietly as they talk and move. I didn't get a good look inside the room. I hear them move about and get closer to the door, then the lock being taken off and see the door open. I hide behind a large beam and keep my hand over my mouth and try to focus on staying hidden. The door closes and is locked again.

"Thank you for your time, Alex."

"Yeah no problem." The front door closes and the basement door and my door open half an hour later, Alex crawling in and pulling me out. As soon as I stand he pulls me into a large hug, kissing the top of my head as I stare blankly into his chest.

"Why do you do this?"

"Do what?" He holds my shoulders as I hold the bag to my chest.

"Hide me...us..." I miss River, and I found Alexs hidden booze under his bed a few days ago. I may have drank a lot before he came.

"W-What about us?" His face goes red and I look up at him as he blushes, my eyes doozy. "W-Wait are you drunk?" I hum and nod as he scoffs and shakes his head, a small smile on his lips. "I never thought of you as the drinking type. I'll be sure to stalk up." He pulls one of his arms under my legs and the other on my lower back, picking me up and carrying me outside the room and up to Tyler's, placing me in his bed and taking the bag from my arms, then pulling the blanket up to my shoulders. "Sleep this off, okay?"

I reach up and pull his collar, kissing him as he blushes more. He pulls away from me quickly and pulls me into bed again. "You taste like chocolate." I giggle as he blushes and laughs.

"Get some sleep, Mae." He pulls the sheets up and turns the heater on, leaving the room and closing the door.
