In the morning, the sun was shining over the Khanna mansion, all the members of the house were sitting in the dining area except Neil. Two days have passed since Neil and Ashish met.

Harleen Khanna: Neil did not wake up till now.

Shweta: Bebe, he...

They heard the footsteps and Shweta saw Neil is coming down from the stairs.

Shweta: here, he is.

Neil smiled and looked happy his happiness was reflecting on his face. Neil wished them morning and all replied. Neil sat on the chair.

Shweta: what happened, Neil, you are looking happy? Did you get the investor for your project?

Neil looked at her he thinks.

On the other side, the Mehta family was also sitting in the dining area. Ashish looked at Avni who was silently having her breakfast.

Ashish: Hmm, I forgot to tell you Neil got an investor for his project.

Avni looked at him she smiled widely but when her parents looked at her she makes a serious face. Her parents looked at each other and smiled.

Ashish: last night, I met Neil in a cafe accidentally. I went to meet my client there I saw him he looked really impressed by Avni's work he was praising her.

Avni was looking at him she looked down and stirs her spoon.

Avni in mind: when I was there he always scold me and now he was praising me. Stupid Khanna.

Avni eats but she was happy that Neil got an investor.

On the other side, Neil was thinking something.

Flashback:

Neil was talking with Ashish on the phone by standing in his room.

Neil: I am ready to marry Avni.

Ashish smiled.

Neill: but what's the guarantee that you will not take a step back.

Ashish: I am doing this for my daughter so why would I take the step back but what is the guarantee that you will not take the steps back after getting the finance.

Neil: I never take the step back, I always fulfil my promise.

Ashish: but I want the guarantee. I will support you fully but first, you have to marry Avni.

Neil thinks for a while.

Neil: ok, done. I will talk to my family tomorrow.

Ashish: ok. One more thing you will not tell anyone who invests in your project, neither your family nor anyone else even not to Avni. It will be between us only. Ok?

Neil: ok.

Ashish: ok, will meet you soon.

Neil cuts the call and thinks.

Neil was in deep thoughts.

Shweta: Tillu.

Neil looked at her.

Shweta: where are you lost?

Neil squeezes his eyes.

Neil: n, nothing, I remembered something. What did you ask?

Shweta: Did you get the investor for your project?

Neil smiled.

Neil: yes, mom, I got an investor.

Prakash: that's great news, who is the investor?

Neil was surprised.

Neil: ab aa, Dad, the investor is Mr Mehta's foreign client.

Prakash: oh, ok. Ashish Mehta is a nice person. His daughter, Avni, she is also very sweet.

Shweta sits.

Neil looked at her.

Bebe: I am dying to see my grand grandson's face. Don't know, I will get the chance in this life or not. Seeing Grandson's face is far away, I am not sure that I will see my grandson's bride or not.

Neil was looking at her. He leaned to Bebe.

Neil: think, your wish came true.

All looked at him astonishingly. Prakash was smiling.

Shweta: means, means you, you are ready for marriage.

Neil smiled.

Neil: yes, mom and I have found a daughter-in-law for you also.

Everyone was surprised.

Shweta: really? That's why I was thinking, why Tillu is running from marriage. Because he has someone in his life.

Neil smiled.

Shweta: who is the lucky girl?

Shweta was desperate to know the name.

Neil: Avni.

It was another surprise for the family. Neil looked at his family who was in shock.

Neil: I like Avni and I want to marry her.

Prakash was looking at him he finds Neil's behaviour strange. Neil's sudden confession of love put the seeds of doubt in his heart but he also likes Avni so he was happy but he had many questions in his heart. Neil acted to be in love because it was part of their deal where Neil will say that he likes Avni and wants to marry her.

Shweta: Avni?

Neil: yes, I really liked her and wants to marry her.

Prakash: this sudden confession? I mean, you never talked about Avni before.

Neil: Dad, I like her for a long but I realised it when Avni's internship ends. After that, I was missing her but could not understand because of the stress of my dream project.

Prakash was not satisfied.

Prakash: oh ok, your choice is very nice.

Neil smiled.

Neil: indeed, it is.

They smiled.

Shweta: now I understand why Mr Mehta helped you because of Avni. Isn't it.

Neil: no mom, they did not know about it even Avni also don't know about it so, I want you to go there for the alliance.

Bebe: you did not propose to her?

Neil shook his head.

Neil: no. You know, I was stressed about my dream project so I did not get the chance to tell her plus this confession of love or proposing these are not my cup of tea that's why I want you people to go there to talk about the alliance.

Bebe: of course, we will go.

Neil smiled.

Shweta: I can't believe my Tillu is in love. It is like a dream for me. Somebody pinch me.

Bebe pinched her cheek. Shweta screamed. Neil widens his eyes.

Bebe: what? You said someone pinch me so I pinched you.

Neil smiled. Bebe looked at him and winked. Neil shook his head and looked at his plate he stirs the spoon and eats. Everyone was happy.

One day, Neela maa was coming to the living area where Avni was sitting and reading a magazine. Neela maa's phone rings. She frowns and received the call.

Nm: Hello.

Shweta was on the call.

Shweta: hello. Neela Mehta?

Nm: yes.

Shweta: hi, I am Shweta Khanna.

Nm: Shweta Khanna.

Avni looked up then she looked back at Neela maa when Neela maa looked at her. Avni looked at the magazine. They talked and Avni tried to understand what they were saying but did not understand anything as Neela maa was saying OK, ok.

Nm: ok, will meet tomorrow. Bye.

Avni frowns. Neela maa cuts the call and comes to Avni. Avni acted to read the magazine. Neela maa cleared her throat.

Nm: Shweta Khanna called.

Avni looked at the table then again at the magazine.

Avni: why?

Nm: she was asking about you. She said they will come tomorrow to talk about your and Neil's alliance.

Avni looked at her. Neela maa turns her face to her. Avni looked down.

Nm: Neil likes you, he wants to marry you.

Avni blushes. She keeps the magazine on the couch and runs from there. Neela maa chuckled then she thinks. She sighed.

Avni closed the door and locks it. She keeps the hand on her heart and was panting. Avni took some time to register. She jumped by saying yes, yes, yes. Avni sits and picked her Teddy and keeps the hair behind her hair.

Avni: Teddu, Neil sir likes me.

Avni hugs her Teddy. Avni remembered something.

Avni: I have to select the dress and jewellery for tomorrow. What should I wear?

Avni was standing near the wardrobe and selecting the dress. Her parents were standing near the window and looking at her.

Ashish: are you happy, Neela?

Nm: when Avni is happy then I am also happy. My happiness is in her happiness. Why did you ask?

Ashish: no, you wanted to make her marriage to Karan. It was Karan's mom's last wish.

Nm: hmm. But we can't sacrifice the happiness of those who are alive for those people who are no more with us. It will be an injustice to them. Those who went they went but those who are alive they have the complete right to live their lives as they want. Avni loves Neil she will not live happily with KK.

Ashish was looking at Neela maa.

Ashish: you are the best mother in this world.

Neela maa smiled by looking at Ashish. They looked at Avni.

The next day, the Khanna family was sitting in the living area. Neela maa took Avni there who was looking down. Neil looked at Avni and was lost for a while then he looked at his watch.

Neil in mind: I have to go office. Don't know, when this will end.

Avni looked up then she looked down. She greets the Khanna family.

Bebe: come Avni, sit with us.

Avni smiled she goes to them and sits.

Bebe: how are you?

Avni: good.

They talked with Avni and Neil was looking down. He talked when Prakash or Ashish talks with him. Avni gives them tea.

Shweta: Do you know cooking?

Avni looked at Neela maa.

Nm: ab, aa, Avni is our only daughter and we pampered her a lot. I never let her enter the kitchen. Actually, I can't bear a single scratch on my Avni so I was afraid that what if she burns herself that's why I don't let her enter the kitchen.

Shweta: oh.

Nm: yead being a single heiress we always fulfilled her every wish.

Neil in mind: also bought a groom for her.

Neil looked away.

Shweta: it's ok. It is not a big issue.

They smiled. Bebe keeps the cup on the table.

Bebe: Neil likes Avni and we also like her we want Avni's hand for Neil. If you have no objection then we want to make her our daughter-in-law.

Ashish: ab, why would we have any objection. We know you people we can not get a better match for Avni.

They smiled.

Shweta: we will treat her as our daughter, not a daughter-in-law.

Neela maa smiled.

Nm: what else can we ask for?

They smiled.

Shweta: I think, Neil and Avni should talk to each other. We gathered here for their alliance and they are sitting silently.

They smiled.

Nm: Avni, show Neil our home.

Avni nods.

Prakash: go, Neil.

Neil nods. They get up. Avni moved to Neil and signed him let's go. Neil signed you first. Avni passed by him then they went. Avni showed him the home they went to the terrace and the couch was kept there, the refreshment was kept there.

Avni: sit, sir.

Neil nods they sat. There was an awkward silence. Avni was looking down. Neil was looking here and there.
