"reum, i feel so nervous!" yoongi exclaimed to his girlfriend who was adjusting his bow right now. after several pulls, the bow finally looked perfect to her and she went on to dust his suit.

"don't be. i know you will do a good job, like you always have been!" she chirped happily and pinched his nose. yoongi pouted and pulled her closer to him.

"alright, a hug right?" she laughed and yoongi nodded like a kid. reum then circled her arms around yoongi's waist and rested her head on yoongi's chest.

"good luck, my prince charming."

"your words always give me courage, my dear princess." yoongi whispered back before pulling away. it was his turn to perform now, and reum was supposed to go to where the audiences were sitting.

"yoongi!" before he leaves, reum called out once again. yoongi turned and looked at his girlfriend, who was forming a heart shape with her arms.

he smiled from ear to ear. he didn't know how many times she always made him smile like this, but he was glad that he could experience this happiness.

so, he steps onto the stage with confidence, with the crowd clapping loudly as he bowed. before sitting down, his eyes searched for reum in the crowd and saw that she was waving her hands with enthusiasm.

yet another smile forms on his face as he sat down, and placed his hands on the piano right in front of him.

"the piece that min yoongi would be playing, is called 'happy ending'. it describes about a person believing in happy endings, just like in fairy tales."

yoongi took a deep breath, and his fingers automatically presses down on the keys.

reum could not wipe off the grin on her face, as she was extremely proud that her boyfriend was right in front of a large crowd, but he was still playing the piece flawlessly.

"yoongi, you can do it—" she wanted to mutter the words but stopped when the whole atmosphere suddenly turns silent. reum thought that perhaps it was just a pause in the piece, but the silence dragged for a long time and soon she heard gasps everywhere.

panick rose within reum as she craned her neck to see what was going on. but reality hit her like a truck when she sees yoongi, lying flat on the ground and the piano seat was empty.

"yoongi!" she screamed, and immediately rushed to the stage. she didn't care if people were looking at her, she didn't care if she was being ridiculous, but all she cared was just her boyfriend.

"yoongi?" she called out, when she reached her boyfriend. his mouth was filled with blood and reum's eyes widened as she held him in his arms.

"yoongi, w-what—" she didn't even realise that tears were cascading down her cheeks when yoongi's hand reached out to wipe away the tears, like he always did.

"i felt like i was the luckiest person on earth," he started to cough out more blood but he chose to continue his words, "when the time that i was your prince charming."

"yoongi, why— don't—"

"don't think that i don't have a happy ending. in fact, i think my ending is the most happiest because i was able to meet you."

"yoongi, stop saying these things—"

"reum, go on and find your happy ending. if you continue to be sad over me even after i die, you will end up with a sad ending. you want a happy ending, don't you?" he coughed again, and there were more blood coming out.

"yoongi, you promised me that we will have a happy ending together! you can't just—"

"reum, if you find your own happy ending, then i would be able to fulfill our promise. because i have already found mine, and what's left is yours."

"yoongi, you lied. you said that we would have a happy ending together, and not separately!" more tears were rushing down reum's face.

"i'm sorry, reum."

"yoongi, don't— don't go," reum pleaded desperately, as yoongi wrapped his hands around hers.

"i love you, reum."

"yoongi, no— "

"thank you for letting me to have a chance to become your prince charming."

and he shut his eyelids tight, with a smile painted on his face, while the whole atmosphere was filled with reum's crying noises.

just like in every story, theirs had an ending. but it wasn't like in fairy tales, where they had a happy ending together.

because after all, weren't fairy tales just lies to cover up reality?

another sad ending iM

okay so in the previous chapter yoongi found the paper, that paper was a document about his sickness and reum didnt know, so he was feeling sorry that he didnt tell her!

oh and, this was inspired by a song called tong hua sang by guang liang (its a chinese song btw) !!
