Sheriff's POV

Robin's words churned around my mind. Her inside eye?

Could I really help...and could I really do that? I'd betray my father and my ruler if I did.

But...the people were suffering. And isn't it my job to protect them?

I spun around and sprinted, hoping to catch Robin before she was gone.

I saw someone up ahead, causing me to run faster.

My vision blurred as I grabbed the pale hand near me.

"Yes?" a woman's voice softly asked. It wasn't Robin's voice. I looked at the woman and nearly gasped.

She was beautiful. Her dress was the color of fresh cream and roses were bound at the end of her skirt and climbed up her perfect body.

"I...I thought you were someone else." I stammered.

"Sheriff?" the woman's voice changed to Robin's. Her gentle smile changed to a scowl.

"Robin?" I gasped.

"Yeah. I use this transformation when I'm out and guards are around." Robin shrugged.

"Wow."

"Thanks, I guess. Made up your mind?"

"Yes. I'll help. Its...its for the people, isn't it?" I forced the words out. All my life, I was taught to hate Robin Hood.

Here I am now, talking to her.

"Of course it is. Glad you can see, unlike your lovely prince's other servants." Robin scowled again.

"Heh. My job is to protect the people."

"About time you started doing it." Robin snorted.

"Didn't have the courage to. I'm kinda a coward."

"Everyone is kinda a coward. You just have to find something worth not being a coward for."
