Grace's POV:

The next day, since it's a Saturday, I spend it in the garage with Luke and the boys, well, mainly Luke. We decided to work on some new songs. "So, when I was looking through your journal-" "Which I do not appreciate." I say, cutting him off. He just rolls his eyes.

"When I was looking through your journal I came across a couple songs that I think will be great if we tweak them a bit." He says. "Which ones. "Well there was one that stood out to me. It isn't finished. Stand Tall." He says.

I look at the ground at the mention of the song. "What?" "Well, my mom and I were working on the one together." I say. "Really? We don't have to finish that one if-" "No, we should finish it. I actually had an idea for a brand new song. "Oh really?" He asks, grinning.

"Yep. I think it'll be really good. We'll just have to play around with it a little bit." I say. He nods. "Good idea." He says. I nod. With that we set to work. Luke plays guitar and I play piano while we write. We actually finish Stand Tall and the new song I thought of. We're calling it Great.

We also finish another song we weren't planning on doing and we named it Finally Free. They all sound so good. The next day we bring Julie and the other guys in to practice them and see how they sound with the ground and they're amazing.

It is now Sunday night and the boys left to go do something outside of the garage and Julie's at Flynn's to finish a project. This gives me the perfect opportunity to get to work on a song I've had stuck in my head for the last two days.

I didn't want to work on it with Luke because I'm too embarrassed to. I go over to the piano and sit behind it, placing my hands on the keys.

Grace

Your eyes, crashing into my eyes
Was I accidentally falling I love?

Your works didn't mean to heal the hurt
Were coincidently more than enough

All these days I never thought
That I would need someone so much,
Who knew?

But I don't think I ever planned
For this helpless circumstance with you

You're scared, I'm nervous
But I guess that we did it on purpose

On purpose

On purpose

Baby, I know it's weird, but it's worth it
Cause I guess that we did it on purpose

On purpose

On purpose

But I guess that we did it on purpose!

But I guess that we did it on purpose!

My dreams running into your dreams
It's as if we wished on the same star

And my time, changing all of your time
It's a butterfly effect on my heart

All these days I never thought
That I would need someone so much
Who knew?

Who knew?

But I don't think I ever planned
For this helpless circumstance with you

Oh, whoa oh oh!

You're scared, I'm nervous
But I guess that we did it on purpose

On purpose

On purpose

Baby I know it's weird, but it's worth it
Cause I guess that we did it on purpose

On purpose

On purpose

On purpose!

But I guess that we did it on purpose!

But I guess that we did it on purpose!

Lost in darkness
You're my focus
Love me hopeless

But I guess that we did it on purpose

Lost in darkness
You're my focus
Love me hopeless

Oh, you're scared!

You're scared, I'm nervous
But I guess that we did it on purpose

On purpose

On purpose

Baby I know it's weird, but it's worth it
Cause I guess that we did it on purpose

On purpose

On purpose!

Lost in darkness
You're my focus
Love me hopeless

But I guess that we did it on purpose

Lost in darkness
You're my focus
Love my hopeless

But I guess that we did it on purpose

As the music fades out I let out a breath. I've been holding that in for two days and it feel good to get it out. "You know, why do I get the feeling that you save your best things for me?" I hear behind me. I jump and turn to see Luke grinning. I glare.

"What are you doing here? I thought you and the boys were going to be out all night." I say. "I had a feeling that I needed to come here and it was not wrong. That song was amazing. Why didn't you tell me about it?" He asks. I blush. "It's personal." Is all I say. He grins.

"Oh really? Who's it about?" He asks. My face pale and then heats up. There's no way I can tell him who it's really about. "Uh, this guy at school." Is all I say, gathering my song sheets. "Oh really? Who?" Come on think. "His names Nick." I blurt.

I mean, I do have a crush on Nick still, but with Luke around it's slowly dwindling. "Who is this Nick?" He asks, sitting down next to me on the piano. "Just a guy in my music class." I say, still blushing wildly. He grins at me.

"You should play it for him. I know if a girl wrote the song for me, I'd love it." He says. He's smiling, but something in his eyes is telling me it's almost forced. I shake my head. "He has a girlfriend, I'm not going to say or play anything for him." I say.

"Oh, well, his loss. You're an amazing girl Grace." With that he poofs off. I let out a sigh of relief that he's gone. He can't know that this song is about him. Band members dating is a bad idea. Even more so when most of the band is dead. Ugh! Why do things have to be so complicated?

Sighing I gather my song sheets and head out of the garage. I look back down at the song sheets then shake my head. He can never know.
