21 year old Brooke Roberts is in Stonewell University, she's at her junior year in college, working as a barista and living in her own apartment. She's living her life as normal college student until she met a wealthy boy in one of her classes, Preston Caplan. Preston Caplan is the rich, athletic and the most popular boy in college, is in the relationship with most vain, wealthy, popular, blonde fiancé, Ariana Millstone.

So, Brooke Roberts had a hard life. Her drug addict mother died as a heroine overdose when Brooke was eight years old and her father is in jail for a long time before she was born. Brooke has been in four foster homes during her childhood. She was a runway girl, the first two foster homes was physically and sëxually abusive and the other two doesn't really care about her that much, they were obviously neglectful and was only in it for the money, free babysitting and free government checks. Until Brooke turned 13 years old, she was finally adopted and raised by a stable and caring family. Brooke is an artistic e-girl who has shared a love of girl, has good grades in school and moved out of her adoptive family's house when she was eighteen during the time of her enrollment to University.

Ariana Millstone, a 21 year old wealthy, snobby, vain socialite who's the most popular girl in college and is the leader of her sorority. She is Preston's fiancée, she's the spoiled rich woman who is puts up her friendly, kind and endearing facade to the public and her image, but deep down, she's a mean, vain, nasty and catty. She was raised by her only rich and alcoholic mother, her father died since she was 10. Her mother got remarried to another famous rich man, who turns to be a shallow, serial-cheating jerk. That's why Ariana turns out to be this way because of her step-father, that includes her abandonment issues, neglect, parental and self-esteem issues. Ariana seems to look down on Brooke because she works at the barista and her poor background, she bullies Brooke being for a "lower class coffee girl".

Preston Caplan, a 21 year old college student who is wealthy, athletic and the popular boy at Stonewell University. He is nothing but sweet, kind and genuine to everyone, especially towards Brooke. Along with Ariana, he was loved by everyone in campus. Preston was a spoiled sweet guy, he lived in a dorm alone. He's not exactly a good student, has some failing grades and he was always brainless beauty. He's the lonely rich kid, he also has parental issues such as his rich parents are always busy with work and business trips despite talking to him and almost being there with him at times. He was being controlled and being henpecked by her snobby fiancé, Arianna. He has his happy and calm in the outside, but deep down he feels miserable, pressured and unhappy in the inside.

What will happen between Preston and Brooke? Is he ever going to end things with Arianna? Who knows, Brooke is going to end up falling in love with Preston.
