The stale August wind gusted upon my face. I glanced down at my shoes soon leading toward my penny board. I could here the thumping footsteps of Mark trailing behind me. I was surprised that he even ran this far without showing signs of fatigue. "Slow.....down." He panted. With a few seconds of the whirring wheels slowing down so did I. I hopped off the tiny skateboard and allowed it to keep going forward. As Mark caught up, I started to giggle. He wrapped his arms around me, resting his chin on my cold head. "Last time I'm ever doing that." He struggled to say. I spun around and looked up slightly at him. "I'm getting tallerrrrr!" I cooed as I acknowledged that I only needed a few inches to catch up to him. Mark caught his breath and started to grin. His clear and white teeth caught my eye as I finally realized, " I'm with the one and only man that everyone loves." It would make me nervous almost every time I think about it. You know...all those crazy fangirls that would try to take him from me. But Mark would explain that they mean nothing to him. I believed him I've been with him for about a year and everyday he tells me he loves me. Alright enough with all the lovey Dovey stuff. Anyway...Mark and I wandered our way home. His phone was clutched in his had while my penny board was in mine. "Hey," he started to say. "I just called Felix and we were wandering if you want to do a co-op with us?" My mouth rapidly turned upwards and a smile gave way. "DUH!!!" I yelped excitedly. Mark chuckled and said, "Alright, I'll let him know." A childish idea popped into my mind and before I could analyze I shouted. "RACE YA!!" My feet sprinted towards the direction of Marks house. In just a few seconds I was there with Mark no where to be fond. A bolt of fear ran through me. "MARK?!?" I shouted. No answer. A few more times and I didn't hear anything. I ran back to where we last were and I saw a shadow. A sigh of relief emerged from my mouth as I realized it was him. "Mark!" I scolded. "What?" I rolled my eyes. "I just wanted to walk." He answered.

I sat on the couch with nothing but happy thoughts. Mark came in the room with a bag of popcorn. "Felix is coming. He just sent me a text." He said handing me the bowl. "Thanks." I replied. That's when I thought of something. It's been a while since I've heard from Matt.
