Annabeth's POV

It was dark, and damp in the air as I trudged on. well, dream me. was yelling at my dream self to investigate the room I was in.

Suddenly, there was a scream I can only identify as one person: Seaweed Brain.

The lights suddenly flicked on, and I saw Tartarus jab a knife into Percy's stomach. Percy had blood dripping from nearly every  part of his body, and he was crying.

I fell down crying, and stroked his face, although my hand went right through his body. The dream me actually fought Tartarus, though with sloppy jabs, since she was crying. Tartarus kept dodging, making inhuman movements

Tartarus taunted at me. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. My dearest Annabeth, you have deemed yourself useless. Without your poor boyfriend, you are nothing."

With that, he kicked dream me in the head, and I fell, unconscious. He then looked towards me and sneered.

"Don't worry, dearest: I won't kill you. Not now, anyway. I want to see you suffer."

Percy POV

I was enjoying a nice midnight snack: a blue cookie. My mom just sent a dozen, and I wasn't going to share. Don't ask; the answer is no.

Suddenly, the door barged open. I grabbed Riptide, but it was only a sobbing Anabeth.

"P-p-Percy," she stuttered.

That's all it took for me to get to her side. I knew it was a dream, and she wanted to let her siblings sleep. It is not because I'm psychic, but rather, it has been happening a lot lately. This was the fifth time this week.

"Annabeth, come here," I gestured over to my bed, and there we sat.

Annabeth sniffled," Percy, I'm sorry, I just- I didn't want to wake-"

I shushed her. "I know, I know. Let's just go to sleep."

"But, I can't Percy."

"Fine."I huffed." I can sing you a luulaby."

Normally, I would just tlk to her, but it wasn't working anymore. I had to do something drastic.

I cleared my throat.

"

Close your eyes, lay your head down

Now it's time to sleep

May you find great adventure

As you lie and dream

If you're scared of the darkness

I will calm your fear

There's a light in the hallway

So you know I'm here

So count your blessings every day

It makes the monsters go away

And everything will be okay

You are not alone

You are right at home

Goodnight, goodnight

You won't need me forever

But I'll still be here

For we all have our nightmares

Even me, my dear

From now on, if you need me

You can sing this song

There's a light in the hallway

Burning all night long

So count your blessings every day

It makes the monsters go away

And everything will be okay

You are not alone

You are right at home

Goodnight, goodnight."

I ended, and Annabeth fell asleep, with a smile on her lips.
