Huh, so that's what happens.

I was reading a book in the library, as usual.

I was only five, but I was already an excellent reader!

Sword fighting... not so much.

But, I was only five after all.

Wait, did I already mention my age?

*ahem* anyways, I'm too young to go out slaying Z-dudes and skellies, so I'll be fine for another four years.

Actually five, since my brother was allowed to go monster hunting when he turned nine.

But he had to, since he is going to be king after all.

Whew, I'm glad that I was the second born, ruling a kingdom is not my thing.

Leading, public speaking, no thanks! Big brother can take that over.

"Hey Meeps!" My friend Logan said, waving his hand.

I waved back. Most of my friends were boys, but I didn't care.

"Come on!" He called to me. "Or are you going to study until your brain bursts."

"Logan... we know you have a crush on her," Amman said. "But you don't have to make it obvious."

"I don't have a crush on her!" Logan protested, and DJ rolled his eyes and gave me a smug look.

Okay, maybe there's some tension in my group of friends.

I ran over to talk with them.

"I DO NIT HAVE A CRUSH ON HER!" Logan yelled again.

"Okay, LG_Gamer," Amman said.

"LG? I said. You do know if the G stands for Gamer, your name is basically Logan Gamer Gamer right? And your last name doesn't start with a G, it starts with a C."

"How do you know my last name?" Logan asked.

"I read the whole book of everybody who lives in this kingdom," I answered. "For fun."

"That's our Meeps," Bryce said. "Once a reader, always a reader."
