"Mama, I want breakfast." Farah roared sarcastically walked out of her bedroom still wearing her night suit.
"It's ready Farah." Mahreen replied smiling as she moved to the dining table.
"I am not Farah, I am Seher." she walked to Mahreen and told.
"You really think you can fool me! I know you are Farah." she replied proudly.
"How come you know that?" Farah protested as she sat down for breakfast.
"Logic," Mahreen replied gesturing towards the kitchen where Seher was getting bread.
"Seher was in the kitchen with me." she finished.
"Oh.." Farah laughed.

After the breakfast Seher and Mahreen were about to leave for their respective jobs. Seher had to go to work while Mahreen had few appointments with the publishers regarding publications of her new book. They were handling the invitations for the book reading of her recent book. Just then Farah joined still not dressed up.

"Aren't you supposed to leave for work?" Seher asked her as she noticed her.
"I have to go late today." she answered as she sat beside her on the couch.
....CLICK....
"Mama, what did the publishers say?" Farah asked Mahreen.
"I had meeting with one yesterday, and one meeting today. Then I'll see." she replied.
"That's really good." she said while hugging her.
....CLICK....
"No doubt she writes very well." Seher added.
"Farah don't forget to invite Ahmer for the book reading." Mahreen told her as she went inside her room.
"Ok." she replied.
"Don't forget to invite Ahmer." Seher repeated while awkardly smiling at her.
"WHAT is wrong with you?" Farah asked her frustratingly.

It was a huge hall of a library, nicely complimented with beige walls and brown lights hanging from the roof with fine book shelves laden with books of all genres towards the right side of the library while the left side included a comfortable seating area.

In that seating area she, dressed in navy blue long shirt till her knees with beige wide trousers and a grey shawl swirled around her shoulders and tightened with a shiny silver broach around her left shoulder was seated on a comfy chair and engaged in reading out the paragraphs of a book aloud while surrounded by number of people serving as audience to her tale.

As she progressed with her tale, people seem to enjoy each and every word she uttered. Finally the closed the book, placing it her lap, she turned to the audience.

"Your writing style is amazing, Mrs Mahreen Malik." a lady from the audience praised her.
"Thankyou so much." she replied with a modest smile.
....CLICK....
"Your writing reflects a very unique face of love," another man among the audience stated.
"What's your inspiration?" he asked.
....CLICK....
"Well, my biggest inspiration is my life. It is the only thing that reflects in my words." she told them nostalgically.

Farah pov
After the book reading was over, mama was busy talking with few of her audiences while Seher was busy with her friends and I was standing by a huge book rack looking through it's shelves. Something rang a bell inside my head.

**
Flashback
I was randomly looking for the books in the rack with my finger moving from right to left when I selected a book and pulled it out.

As I pulled it out, I peeked through the rack and saw something that made me roll with laughter. I tried enough but couldn't resist not to laugh.

It was Ahmer, just like that day he was sleeping in the library with a lot of thick books scattered around him and his thick grey spectacles still on his closed eyes. And he was snoring in a quiet library.

I immediately took out my from from the front pocket of my bag, positioned it right in front of the empty spot in the rack. I pressed the snap icon and took the photograph.

Flashback over

I came to reality when Ahmer snaped his two fingers in front of me, chuckling at me.
"Hey." I greeted him embarrassingly.
"Where were you lost?" he asked.
"Nothing," I replied.
....CLICK....
"Let's take a walk." I proposed to him while walking and gesturing him to accompany me.
"Ok." he replied and started to walk with me.

"So what's up?" Ahmer asked me as we walked our way down the street.
"My job is already killing me." I protested to which he chuckled laughingly.
"I thought it would be far easier for a nerd like you." he said and started to run from me as I was now chasing him.
"Don't you dare call me that." I shouted as I followed him.
....CLICK....
He was running across the street when he tripped over a rock and fell on the pavement.

I joined him there laughing until my belly started to hurt. He signalled me give him my hand with a puppy face.

I gave him a hand but he grabbed it and jerked me to fall on the pavement aswell.
"Ahmer." I shouted as I fell.
"Ha..ha...ha." he laughed.
....CLICK....

Finally after a span of almost ninty seconds we stood up and organised ourselves like mature people.
"What is it?" Ahmer asked me as he brushed his right sleeve.
"Huh?" I said pretending to be unaware.
"What is bothering you?" he repeated and I stood rugged as a rock.
"I have to go to Karachi," I blasted out and he continued looking at me questioning me.
"For a month," I said and he still stared me.
"Tomorrow evening." I completed.

He looked at me for a moment and said plainly "then go, what are you waiting for,?"

I stayed silent as I was out of words to express myself. I broke the silence.
"You know how difficult it is for me to adjust with new people. I just got mixed up with my colleagues and now this..." I replied.

"It's ok, everything is not a piece of cake," he paused for a moment.
"It was your dream to get this position, right? then don't stop, keep moving." he finished giving me a motivating smile with his gaze piercing through me. I smiled back and we continued walking but this time towards the library.

"Sometimes eyes can say more than the mouth"

Hello readers, so any idea what's coming up to Farah and Ahmer in Karachi???
