"These cats must hurry, before the clans are doomed!!" Clovertail mewed with worry, Soarstar nodded, " I sent two Starclan cats to watch over them, They have two Snowclan cats too!"  Two starry cats walked among the skies watching four journey cats.

Brightfrost padded over to small pile of prey, It had been only a moon when her sister left on the journey, Why didn't Starclan chose me? Why the puny apprentice over a warrior?Brightfrost muttered to herself. Brightfrost was jealous, Starclan liked her sister more than her. Maybe She can make Shadowglow jealous by becoming deputy! She will have to get rid of both of the deputies, Brightfrost did mentor Poppypaw for few moons until Stormpelt was better due to injuries from a badger.  

Poppypaw carried some moss for  nest that Needlestar slept in, She merged the moss with nest and turn to leave, Brightfrost talked to her mentor and they left the camp. Brightfrost looked around, they were about few fox lengths away from camp. She whipped around and jumped with claws sliding and raked Stormpelt on the back. She pinned him down, he tried to break free, but Brightfrost gave him the killing bite, He gasped as blood spilled from his mouth.

She dragged the body near twoleg nest and ran off and washed herself. She walked back to camp as if she didn't do anything wrong. Brightfrost padded to Poppypaw, wrapping her tail around the apprentice. " Stormpelt is dead, a dog got him while we hunted" Brightfrost lied. HIs body is nowhere to be found, Poppypaw wailed as she flatten her ears. Poppypaw glanced at Brightfrost, she saw tuft of gray and blood stained fur between claws of Brightfrost.

  " Let all cats old enough to catch prey gather for a clan meeting!! " Needlestar yowled as cats gathered around. Some emerged from their dens, " One of our warriors recently died by a dog..making Poppypaw without a mentor!  I chose Brightfrost to be her mentor and continue her training, Clan dismissed!" Cats parted ways as apprentice and warrior touched noses, Brightfrost smirked but disappeared heartbeats later.

Brightfrost padded with her apprentice, " Like this!" She mewed, as Poppypaw copied her move, it was  powerful paw swipe added with small kick. Poppypaw huffed as she kept working, later they hunted with only bringing a mouse and minnow. Poppypaw carried her minnow with proud, she had caught her very first fish! " You did well, Once we get back, You can eat!" Brightfrost mewed as Poppypaw felt her hunger grow.

Poppypaw eyed  to see her sister with bundle of herbs in her mouth, Poppypaw dragged a sparrow from pile and ate up the bird, Starlingpaw padded to her prod  her, Poppypaw already had eaten half of sparrow, she tossed the rest to her sister as Starlingpaw dug in and ate up the bird. Poppypaw settled herself with her sister, licking her ruffled fur. " Starclan sent me a strange dream some moons ago.." Starlingpaw murmured to Poppypaw looked at her and thought about it.
