After finishing another day of work I headed back to my apartment for a relaxation to play video games, anime and so on. Sat on my game chair near the computer playing Honkai Impact 3rd after watching Tokusastu shows for a good few hours.

Soren: Man, what a day. Finally get some downtime.

I usually live alone because I don't really have any other members around in my life. Don't have any friends I'm basically more of a loner type of guy. Not really motivated to date since the last five time my exes either cheated on me or dump for stupid reasons. Plus....not sure I'll be great as a family either. Unmotivated for a career because none of it makes me feel anything. Don't have any passion here. Felt empty inside. The only thing that kept me going was my stuff, but every now and then that felt the emptiness inside making me breakdown.

*Stomach rumble*

Soren: Better get something to eat.

I step out of my apartment and lock the door. Began walking through streets during a perfect weather at night, headed toward any restaurant that might be good except.....

Woman: Somebody help! Please somebody!

A woman voice can be heard from the alleyway which a red flag! But..... I can't just ignore it. Thought what heroes would do. Went to help despite my better judgement. There was two creeps trying to steal a woman purse and have their way with her.

Thug1: C'mon, baby.

Thug2: How about go somewhere to get you out of those clothes and cuddle. Hehehe.

Woman: Just leave me alone!

Walking around dressing like that by herself of course it'll get herself into trouble! Why in the hell she walk through this route at night!? Had to be careful they might carry a gun. I call 911 and try to do something until they get here. I do what I do best. Be stealthy. Quietly walk closer into the shadows, people told me when I'm too quite I happen to show up out of nowhere end up scaring them and almost gave them a heart attack. Pick up a pipe as the women saw me but shook my head to signal her don't say anything.

Gotten closer then swung it smack Thug2 on the head ed and thug1 on the back then his face! Push the thug 1 away from her.

Soren: You okay?

Woman: Y-yes. Thank you.

Soren: Your welcome.

I saw my chest with blood coming indicate that........ somebody shot me! About to collapse as the lady caught me.

Thug1: That's what you get for playing hero, dip shit. You know what happens to heroes? They die for saving random strangers and bitches like her.

Soren: F-fuck you. At least I'm not a l-loser with no j-job like you.

Thug1: Okay, smartass. How about-

*Cops siren sfx*

Thug1: Oh shit!

He saw cops part their cars in front of the alleyway getting out of their cars.

Woman can tell from Soren his skin turning pale. Lost to much blood.

Woman: Hey! Hey! Hey! Stay with me.

He falls onto the ground while the woman hold his right hand. She tears up a bit.

Woman: Don't go. I haven't thank you for saving me nor know your name.

Soren: S-Soren Azure.

Woman: My name is Sasaki Kayami.

Soren: That's.....a...go...d....ame.

(3rd POV)

The man name Soren Azure has died. Very least he was able to save someone before he died because that's how he'd wanted to go. Slowly wake up to see a beautiful woman with long violet hair, white long dress with metallic linings and silver tiara on top of her head.

Melfina

Age: 1276

Soren: Who are you? 'Their very beautiful'.

Alaina: Melfina. I am a goddess. The goddess of reincarnation.

Soren (🤨): I'm sorry. What? Real goddesses? I thought there was one God?

Melfina (💦): Let's not go there.

Melfina: I've seen you risk your life to save that woman. That is why I'll reward you for your selfless deed. What is it you desire?

Soren thinks about it. Few minutes later he told what he'd wanted if possible. Goddesses nodded.

Melfina: Very well. Farewell and good luck.

Soren: Wait! Will...... I ever see you again?

Melfina cross her arms and gave a cheeky smile.

Melfina: Oooh? Already taken by our divine beauty? You fell in love with me at first site?

He blushes as Melfina giggles.

Melfina (smile): Just teasing you. If you desire that then I wouldn't mind.

Soren: 'Didn't think she'll say yes. Huh. I mean she is a goddess while I'm just a mortal being'. Okay. Guess I'll see you later. Goodbye.

They send him off to reincarnate into another where Soren begins his new life.

Melfina: 'Hmm...Soren Azure. The poor man. Maybe....I should....'.

Slowly open his eyes and got up halfway to see a familiar woman in front of him.
