FATE TWISTED BY LOVE

CHAPTER 47

As Naina left for college in the car, Sameer's parting words rang in her mind constantly. She wasn't in her senses when the car stopped at the entrance of the college. She heard the loud knock on her side of the window & jerked out of her trance.

Preeti stood in front of her with hands on her hips as she came out of the car. Without uttering a word, Naina passed by her while her best friend continued glaring at her. Kabir who was standing near his car was observing the small scene with amusement.

Preeti caught hold of her hand & blocked her way. "Naina... Tu kiske khayaalon mein khoyi thi ki tujhe yeh tak yaad nahi raha ki tu college pohonch gayi hai???" Naina's cheeks turned crimson as she remembered her husband's words.

Kabir had heard his sister's question & had seen the effect of it on Naina'a face. He understood that it was definitely related to his friend. Wrapping his arm around Preeti's shoulder, Kabir teased, "Ab yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai Preeti? Naina sirf ek hi insaan ke khayaalon mein kho sakti hai, aur wohh hai mera dost, jo inke patidev bhi hai."

Preeti raised her eyebrows at her best friend & continued teasing, "Acchaa ji... toh madam apne patidev ke khayaalon mein doobi hai???" Turning behind, she queried, "Waise tere patidev hai kahaan? Roz toh tujhse pehle car ke baahar aa jaata hai, aaj kahaan reh gaya?"

Naina blushed some more & replied, "Wohhh... Abhi thodi der pehle hi Sameer kisi important project ke liye London gaye hai." Kabir enquired, "Ohhhh... Sameer London gaya bhi? Kab waapis aayega?"

Naina met his gaze & replied solemnly, "Sameer kehkar gaye hai ki ek mahina toh lagega unhe wohh project khatam karne mein, uske baad hi waapis aayenge." The siblings could clearly see that she was trying to control her tears. Before her tears made its way, Preeti pulled her best friend in a hug.

Kabir watched as Naina's eyes finally gave away & started watering. Preeti rubbed her back & spoke, "Naina... ab bas... rona band kar ab. Sameer sirf ek mahine ke liye London gaya hai, hamesha hamesha ke liye London mein basne nahi gaya hai jo itni ganga-jamna bahaa rahi hai."

Kabir continued, "Naina... Preeti sahi keh rahi hai. Tum rona band karo. Yeh ek mahina bohot jald nikal jaayega. Bas tum apna dhyaan studies mein aur kaam mein lagaa do. Dekho kaise time nikal jaayega. Aur fikar mat karo, main NGO ka itna kaam dunga naa ki Sameer ko yaad karne ka bhi time nahi milega tumhe."

Preeti hit her brother on her shoulder, "Kya bhai aap bhi naa ek number ke boring insaan ho. Aapko yeh kehna chahiye ki Naina... hum tumhare saath baahar ghumne jaayenge, party karenge. Itni mauj masti karenge ki Sameer ki yaad hi nahi aayengi tumhe. Kya studies aur kaam ki baat lekar baith gaye aap?"

Turning to Naina, Preeti continued, "Pataa nahi aise mein kabhi bhai ki koi girlfriend bani bhi toh yeh kya bolenge? Kahin inki yeh sab boring baatein sunnkar wohh kahin bhaag na jaaye." Naina & Preeti both burst out laughing while Kabir rubbed his neck in nervousness.

Naina knew what Kabir was really thinking about, so she winked at him, making him go red in front of his sister. Preeti wasn't aware about his secret so far. Only Naina knew about the feelings he had harboured for his love interest, Nisha.

After the party that was held few months ago, Naina had met Kabir & Nisha several times. Though both of them were poles apart with their nature, still they went along just fine. Naina had got to know from Kabir that Nisha wasn't aware of his growing feelings towards her.

He was scared to open his heart & his feelings to Nisha. In the last few meetings at the NGO & café, Naina knew that Nisha was the right choice & life partner for Kabir. They were poles apart yet they cared for each other, there was something between them that wasn't visible easily, yet they were brought together by destiny.

Naina believed in the saying that opposites attract. And exactly the same had happened with Kabir, he had started falling for Nisha who was exactly his opposite. While he remained calm & quiet, she used to talk nonstop. While he was the shy one, she was bold & beautiful.

If something was common between them, then that was the way they cared & saw the good in each other. Naina had observed all this during the last few times they all had met. Nisha was a good friend of Naina by now. She used to call her many times to join her for coffee & Naina would join her happily.

Preeti pulled her best friend inside the college & bid goodbye to his brother. During the lectures, Naina wasn't attentive at all. All she did during the lectures was that she kept writing her husband's name on the last page of her book.

Preeti was observing all this but she remained quiet & let her be. She knew that her best friend loved her husband more than anyone in this world. And right now, she was missing him badly, so she let her be.

After college, Preeti left towards her home while Naina left towards the NGO. Naina met all the girls & had lunch with them, as even Nanu was present there with Munshiji. As they finished their meal, Nanu went home while she stayed back to finish some work with Kabir.

Every now & then, Naina's mind wandered towards her handsome husband & she zoned out many times which didn't escape Kabir's eyes. He was happy that Sameer & Naina were happy together. He didn't know what equation they shared now but nonetheless; he was happy seeing her happy & content.

Kabir had known Sameer since college & was aware that his friend was very much possessive about his wife. So, he had stopped visiting the Maheshwari Mansion. Whatever work he had, he would do it from NGO or would ask Naina to manage it from home.

On the other end, Sameer was restless the whole time during the flight. He had already started missing his wife the moment he had left from home. He wanted her to join him for this trip too, but that wasn't feasible. Naina was having her exams in the next fifteen days & he couldn't spoil it by dragging her along with him.

He cursed her exams & this important deal that needed his personal attention in London. He couldn't send Munna or Pandit for this. This was going to be the longest flight of his life. He wanted to hear her voice, he wanted her beside him now. As his flight landed in Delhi after 2 hours, he called her.

Sameer cursed again when he learnt that the phone was switched off. He checked the time & hit his forehead lightly. "Kya kar raha hai Sameer? Naina abhi lectures mein hogi, isliye phone switch off hai. Par phone switch off karne ki kya zarurat hai? Agar Nanu yaa mujhe urgently kuch baat karni hogi toh? Toh kaise baat kar paayenge?"

His mental talk continued for some more time & then he headed towards a café to have a dose of coffee. Though he preferred his favourite coffee made by his wife, but for the next whole month he would've to manage with these tasteless ones.

His mind wandered to the last few months where their relationship had progressed gracefully. He remembered what he had said while leaving for the airport. He only knew how he used to control himself whenever he was near Naina, especially after watching her swollen pink luscious lips.

His desires flamed every night when she used to snuggle closer to him while sleeping in his arms. Though he liked his wife a lot, he wanted to be sure about his feelings towards her. And once that was done, he won't stop himself from claiming his rights on his lovely wife.

All throughout his flight, he kept thinking about his wife. He should've concentrated on the project in hand but no, he was lost in the beautiful memories of his gorgeous wife. All the moments flashed in his mind from their first meet in his room till he left for airport in the morning.

Unconsciously, he opened the gallery on his mobile & went through all the pictures he had clicked of his wife which was making him desperate to have her besides him now. He had started clicking her pictures from last few months whenever she had worn the dresses, he had gifted her.

His eyes stopped at one picture that was clicked in Singapore at the Golden Gate. All the memories hit him suddenly as he remembered her sweet confession. If what feelings she had for him was love, then were his feelings the same? Did he love her too?

As he closed his eyes, her smiling face appeared & he smiled. And when he opened his eyes, his heartbeats stopped & he whispered to himself, "Yes... I love her... I love my wife... I love Naina..."

Sameer had finally accepted his feelings for his Naina, his wife, his best friend & now, she was everything, his world, his life. He was ecstatic with this self-confession. The realisation of his feelings took him almost ten months of being married to Naina.

He talked to himself, "Mujhe apna pyaar samajhne ke liye dus mahine lag gaye, jab ki Naina toh pehle se hi mujhse pyaar karti hai. Par Naina ne ab tak mujhse kuch kahaa kyun nahi, kyun apne dil ki baat mujhse chupaa rahi hai? Uski aankhon mein mujhe apne liye pyaar hamesha se nazar aaya hai, fir uske zubaan tak yeh baat kyun nahi aayi?"

His heart defended, "Naina alag hai... usne kabhi iss shaadi ko tum par thopaa nahi hai, kabhi apna hakk bhi nahi jataaya. Aur tu shaayad bhool raha hai ki iss shaadi ki shuruwaat kaisi hui thi. Tune Naine se divorce papers aur agreements sign karvaaye, toh Naina kaise apni feelings tujhe bataati. Usse lag raha hoga ki tu ek saal baad yeh shaadi tod dega, toh wohh kyun apna dil saamne se tudwaa le? Waise bhi tune aisa kuch nahi kiya hai uske liye ki wohh uske dil ki baat tujhse share kare."

"Naina ka dil ekdum saaf aur saccha hai, isliye tune uske saath itna kuch karne ke baad bhi Naina ne tujhse pyaar kiya, tera khayaal rakhaa, teri patni ka har ek farz poore dil se nibhaayaa aur uske badle kabhi apne liye kuch nahi maanga. Tune kabhi Naina ko kahaa ki yeh shaadi ek saal ke baad kahaan khadi hogi? Uske future ke baare mein kuch socha? Uski bhi toh koi marzi, koi ummeedein, koi sapne honge, kabhi tune jaanne ki koshish bhi hai Sameer?"

He knew that he had messed up big time by making those divorce papers & agreements & he had to nullify them as soon as he was back with Naina. He understood that he had never assured her about her future with him, especially about their marriage. He had only told her that he liked her, but he had never given her any kind of assurance about their marriage.

Sameer let out a deep exhale & made up his mind. He looked at the date on his mobile & thought, "Mujhe Naina ko apne pyaar ka yakeen dilaana hoga, tabhi wohh apne dil ki baat bhi mujhse share kar paayegi. Main Naina ko hamari first wedding anniversary waale din apne dil ki baat bataaunga, usse kahunga ki main usse bohot pyaar karta hun aur apni poori zindagi uske saath bitaana chahta hun."

Closing his eyes, he smiled, "Bas yeh ek mahina jaldi se nikal jaaye toh main waapis apni Maina ke paas jaa saku." His eyes snapped open as he realized what he had named Naina. He had called her 'apni Maina...' He blushed some more & whispered, "Usme galat kya hai, Naina mere liye ab se meri Maina hi hai..."

The moment he reached London; he called his better half's number. He had been badly waiting to hear her voice as the realization of feelings had dawned on him. As the call connected, he heard her voice, finally her melodious voice filling his heart with love.

"Hello... Sameer... aap... aap kuch bol kyun nahi rahe? Aapko meri aawaaz toh sunaai de rahi hai naa?" He was so lost in her voice that he couldn't respond to her immediately. "Hello... Sameer... Aap thik toh hai naa? Kuch bol kyun nahi rahe aap? Sameer..."

Sameer's eyes misted hearing her caring words & he replied, "Helloo... Naina..." Naina signed in relief as she heard his voice, but something was different & his voice sounded strained. She immediately questioned, "Aap thik hai naa Sameer? Aap... aapki aawaaz itni alag si kyun lag rahi hai?"

Sameer cleared his throat & controlled his emotions. He couldn't just spill his feelings on the phone, right? He replied, "Main... main thik hun Naina... bas abhi meri flight London mein land hui hai. Aur thanks for the message, I really had a great journey Naina..."

Naina had sent him a message just after she left from college, wishing him safe & great journey. As Naina updated him about her college & NGO work, Sameer smiled at the other end. As he got into the company car, Naina handed over the phone to Nanu who too wanted to have a talk with his grandson.

Sameer reached the hotel in the next ten minutes & settled in the room, still talking to Nanu. Nanu was going to disconnect the call but Sameer hesitated for a while before asking, "Ummmm... Naina ko phone denge Nanu?" Nanu understood that his grandson wasn't yet ready to disconnect the call before talking to his wife, so he handed over the mobile to Naina who was already waiting restlessly to talk to her husband once again.

Naina quietly walked to her room & closed the door. She spoke softly, "Sameer... aap time par khaana khaa lijiyega, kaam karne mein itna busy mat ho jaaiyega ki baaki sab bhool jaaye. Din mein do baar call karna, main aapke call ka wait karungi, apni sehat ka acche se khayaal rakhna aur jaldi so jaaiyega, jaldi soyenge toh agle din time par uth paayenge. Main nahi hun wahaan aapko uthaane ke liye, toh alarm yaad se set karna, bhool mat jaaiyega Sameer."

On the other end, Sameer was happily hearing her instructions one by one & looked heavenwards, thanking the Almighty for bringing her in his life. "Acchaaa... main kuch nahi bhoolunga. Par tum bhi promise karo ki jyaada over exert nahi karogi khudko. Jab tak exams nahi hote, NGO ke kaam karne ki zarurat nahi hai. Apni studies pe focus karo aur exams ki ekdum acche se taiyaari karo. Jyaada der tak raat ko jaagna mat. Main nahi hun wahaan jo tumhe uthaakar bed pe sula dunga. Tum bhi time se khaana khaa lena aur Nanu ke saath saath apna bhi dhyaan rakhna."

Naina was loving the way her husband was instructing her & her eyes misted as she was going to miss him too much. Sameer understood her silence on the other end & asked, "Naina... mujhe miss karogi naa???" The tears finally made its way in their eyes & she whispered, "I will miss you Sameer... main bohot miss karungi aapko."

Sameer smiled through his tears & accepted, "I will miss you too Naina... main bhi tumhe bohot bohot miss karunga. Main... main tumhe roz phone karunga, subah bhi aur raat ko bhi. Din bhar main disturb nahi karunga kyunki jaanta hun ki tumhari exams ek mahine baad hai. Tum acche se study karna, iss baar bhi top karna hai naa???"

Naina nodded & realized that he couldn't see her. Hitting her forehead slightly, she replied, "Haannn... main acche se studies pe focus karungi, aap bhi deal final karke jaldi aana. Abhi phone rakhiye aur fresh ho jaaiye aur fir kuch khaa kar so jaaiyega." Sameer & Naina sweet talked for a couple of minutes & then disconnected the call.

That night she couldn't sleep as she was missing his warmth next to her. Since last few months, she was sharing the bed with him. After first few nights, the awkwardness had disappeared completely & they slept comfortably in each other's embrace.

She tossed & turned for few more minutes & then got up. Collecting her diary, she walked towards the balcony. She saw the mattress that had become an important part of their life now. Many a times, they slept on the same mattress which was now permanently laid in the balcony.

Sitting on the mattress, she pulled the blanket over her legs & settled with a pillow on her lap. She watched the shining stars in the sky & smiled. Even in the dim light, she started writing.

Hiii... diary....

Kaisi ho???

Main thik nahi hun...

Aaj mujhe neend hi nahi aa rahi...

Puchogi nahi ki kyun mera haal behaal hai???

Aaj Sameer ek mahine ke liye London gaye hai...

Aur main... main unhe bohot miss kar rahi hun...

Peechle kuch mahino mein unke saath sone ki aadat ho gayi hai...

Jab wohh mujhe unki baahon mein lekar sote hai naa, tab aisa lagta hai ki yahi meri poori duniya hai...

Aaj wohh nahi hai toh mujhe neend hi nahi aa rahi...

Pataa nahi unka kya haal hoga???

Kya unhe bhi meri tarah neend nahi aa rahi hogi???

Kya wohh bhi mujhe utna hi miss kar rahe honge jitna main unhe miss kar rahi hun???

Diary... ab mujhse raha nahi jaa raha, nahi chupaa sakti apne dil ki baat apne dil mein...

Jab bhi wohh mujhe hug karte hai yaa kiss karte hai, toh lagta hai, bas mujhe unke siva aur kuch nahi chahiye...

Bohot baar mere dil ki baat hothon tak aate aate reh gayi hai...

Jab bhi Sameer mere paas hote hai toh bas unke paas hi rehne ka mann karta hai...

Jab wohh mujhe chedne ke liye aankh maarte hai toh meri saans ruk jaati hai...

Unki wohh muskuraahat dekhte hi mera din accha jaata hai...

Unki uss muskuraahat ke liye main kuch bhi kar sakti hun...

Jab unke baal aage unke maathe par girte hai toh mann karta hai ki main khud unke baalon ko peeche hataa dun...

Aaj jab wohh gaye toh apne saath saath mera dil bhi le gaye...

Unhe dekhe bina main aaj bohot bechain ho rahi hun...

Mujhe bilkul accha nahi lag raha...

Akele nahi raha jaa raha...

Pataa nahi yeh ek mahina main unke bina kaise guzaarungi???

The tears started flowing from her eyes & she closed her eyes to let them fall. Taking a deep breath, she watched the moon & saw his face... She continued writing,

Sameer... I love you... I love you very much...

Main Sameer se shaayad yeh kabhi nahi keh paaungi...

Kaash Sameer bhi mujhse pyaar karen aur yeh shaadi ko kabhi na tode...

Wiping her tears away, she watched the moon again...

Jaise yeh chaand kabhi kisi ko haasil nahi hoga, waise hi Sameer bhi kabhi mujhse pyaar nahi karenge...

Mujhe Sameer ko bhi durr se pyaar karna hoga, kyunki wohh kabhi mere nahi ho sakte...

Aur agar unhe mujhse pyaar ho gaya toh main... main... khushi se hi mar jaaungi...

Diary... kya tum mere dil ki baat mere Sameer tak pohoncha sakti ho???

Unse kehna ki main unse bohot pyaar karti hun, unke bina main ek pal bhi nahi reh sakti... bohot miss kar rahi hun main... unki har choti se choti baat se mujhe farak padta hai...

Aur aaj yeh dooriyaan mujhse bardaasht nahi ho rahi...

Sameer... please jaldi aa jaaiyega... main akele nahi reh paaungi aapke bina...

I miss you Sameer...

I love you... now & forever...

Closing the diary, she reminisced all their moments which were special to her heart. His declaration while leaving in the morning of wanting more was playing in her mind. She blushed & replied to herself, "I will give you more Sameer... I'm all yours... today, tomorrow & forever..."

Days after days passed by & it was already one week left for Sameer to return. The couple continued talking over the call everyday & were missing each other terribly. They weren't satisfied with those few minutes of talking. They wanted to see & feel each other's presence. They were counting the days & now, it was more & more difficult to stay away. This one week seemed to stretch more than the last three weeks.

Sameer kept busy with his colleagues while Naina was busy with her studies & Kabir, Nisha & Preeti. She was helping Kabir by spending more time with Nisha & knowing about her feelings for Kabir. In the last few meetings, Naina knew that even Nisha shared the same feelings as Kabir's.

One day, Naina asked Kabir to take a leap of faith towards her & reveal his love to Nisha. Though he was scared of the outcome, he agreed with Naina. He couldn't just prolong this any longer. He knew Nisha liked him too & so, he decided to propose to her soon.

It was Sunday & Naina as usual joined Kabir in the NGO. Along with Preeti & Pandit, even Munna & Anjali joined them to spend time with the girls in the NGO. Naina was happy that her friends were being a part of the NGO. They enjoyed their time with girls but Naina was missing her husband terribly. She so wanted him here right now.

On the other end, Sameer was trying to wrap his work soon & go back to his lovely beautiful wife. He too was missing her badly, so he called her up. He knew that Naina would be at the NGO at this time & would be free to talk to him. Despite calling her thrice, she didn't pick up his calls.

Naina had kept her phone on silent & was busy with Kabir, looking over all the indent that was required for the girls in the NGO. Sameer was already in a bad mood as his wife wasn't answering his calls, so he called Pandit.

When he asked his friend about his wife's whereabouts, Pandit told him that she had gone out with Kabir. In his haste to spend time with Preeti, he didn't mention the reason for Naina to be out with Kabir. Naina had tagged along with Kabir to pick up some books & other essentials that were necessary for the girls.

After dropping everything in the NGO, Naina & Kabir went out for a coffee at the nearby café where Nisha was already waiting for them. Naina had great time & enjoyed their sweet banter. She was missing Sameer badly as she saw Kabir looking at Nisha with eyes full of love.

Naina excused herself & left towards home citing some work, giving them some privacy. When she reached her room, she pulled out her mobile from the bag & was shocked to see five missed calls from Sameer. She tried calling him but the call didn't go through due to bad network. She freshened up quickly & waited for his call, but her phone didn't buzz at all.

She half-heartedly went to prepare meal for the night. She had carried her mobile to the kitchen as she didn't want to miss his calls again, but nothing happened. They finished their dinner & she went back to her room & chided herself for keeping her mobile on silent mode. How could she miss his calls, when she herself was desperate to talk to him?

Her wait was finally over when her phone buzzed at midnight. She picked up the call in the first ring itself. "Hello... Sameer..." The mere whisper of his name was the only thing that took his breath away each & every time she took his name.

"Hello... Naina..." She finally breathed in as she heard his husky voice. She was getting habituated with this voice & was falling more & more in love with her husband. This distance was killing them both but they didn't have any other choice, they had to wait for yet another week to be together again. They continued talking for the next few minutes & Sameer forgot all about the missed calls that Naina had missed.

In the same week, there were on-campus placement interviews held in Naina's college. Naina & Preeti kept busy with the interviews. Once done, Preeti left for her café while Naina joined Kabir in the NGO. Naina was keeping more busier these days as her final exams were nearing. She started studying till late nights & as predicted by Sameer, she used to sleep on the couch itself.

Sameer too was very busy with wrapping up his work so that he could come home earlier to surprise his wife & Nanu. It was getting more & more difficult for him to stay away from Naina after he realised his love for her.

He wanted to share this news with his best friends but he wasn't sure if they would keep this away from their better halves & soon, Naina would get to know about his feelings from them. He couldn't let that happen, so he didn't reveal his feelings for his wife to his best friends. It was his confession to make, not theirs.

That week passed rather too slowly for the couple. They didn't get much time to talk over the call as both were busy, one with the deal & the other with the studies. Sameer was going to be back on Sunday & Naina was eagerly waiting for that day.

It was already Saturday & Naina kept on watching the clock every now & then. Nanu could clearly see through her restlessness. She wasn't behaving her real self since Sameer had left for London. Nanu knew that she was missing her husband too very much & so he called Munna, Pandit, Anjali & Preeti several times for dinner to keep her busy. Though she smiled & laughed with them, still Nanu could see her zoning out of their conversations many times. Others too had noticed it & they knew the reason too. But they never left a chance to tease her, especially her best friend, Preeti...

Preeti wasn't Sameer's fan yet, but she knew her best friend's feelings ran deeper for her husband, so she never tried to meddle in their relationship. But one thing was crystal clear for her, if Sameer ever hurt her best friend, she would make him repent badly. She already knew that he had hurt her multiple times before & she let it go after watching his care & possessiveness for Naina. Still, something stopped her from trusting him, her inner intuitions were always alert when it came to him. She never shared this with Naina but she definitely had talked it out with Kabir.

Nanu had invited them again on Sunday so that they could spend time with Sameer too & his grandson too would be happy with this small get-together. Nanu had started enjoying their banters & so he wanted them to be there on every Sunday evenings.

This Saturday seemed to have stopped for Naina as she kept on looking at the clock every five minutes. It was already evening & she seemed to be more pissed as there was no call from her handsome husband that whole day.

After an hour or so, Naina got a call from Kabir & she spoke to him for the next five minutes. He was convincing her to accompany him to a jewellery shop. He wanted to buy a ring for Nisha. After a lot of convincing from his side, Naina finally relented & asked him to pick her up from home. She informed Nanu & freshened up quickly.

Soon Kabir picked her up & they headed towards the jewellery shop in the market. Their car stopped for few minutes at the right lights & then they proceeded towards the shop. Naina helped him in shortlisting few rings & then Kabir picked one which he loved the most.

He asked the salesman to show some designs of platinum chains with pendants. Again, Naina shortlisted two & he finalized one. But he didn't like any pendants so he made a design himself on a paper & handed it over to the manager to get it made in diamonds.

As they left from the shop, Sameer entered & walked towards the manager. As Sameer entered, the manager hugged him as he was his friend. Sameer casually asked him about the things that Naina & Kabir had ordered & his friend showed him the design made by Kabir.

Shock would be an understatement for Sameer as he continued watching the design. The initials, 'KN' were inscribed in a small heart. The manager continued talking, "Yeh initials aur heart ko diamonds mein banwaana hai. Waise design acchi hai... main soch raha hun aise hi kuch common initials ke designs banwaa lun, toh unn jaise couples ko accha lagega aur unhe pasand aa jaaye."

Sameer fumed when his friend referred Kabir & Naina as a couple. Controlling his anger, he asked, "Aur kya order kiya hai?" The manager once again showed the ring that Kabir had chosen which he had asked him to make of smaller size. He continued, "Yeh unki girlfriend ki size ki banwaane ko kahaa hai. Jo unke saath aayi thi naa, wohh hi unki girlfriend hai, unhi ki ungli ki size toh li thi maine."

Sameer froze at his words. Naina... his Maina was Kabir's girlfriend. No... it couldn't be... Then why was his friend referring Naina as Kabir's girlfriend. There was definitely some misunderstanding. This can't be true. He controlled his anger & bid goodbye to his friend.

He hailed a cab & went home where Naina was making dinner. Sameer had finished his work early & had decided to go home a day prior to his actual bookings to surprise his dear wife. While driving towards home from airport, he had seen Kabir & Naina together in his car & had followed them.

Sameer saw them choosing somethings from afar & wasn't sure what it was. He had seen the manager & was happy that he was his friend. So, it wasn't difficult for him to get all the details. Now, he didn't know what to trust anymore. Some part of his heart repudiated the claim of Naina being Kabir's girlfriend. Trusting that part, he drove home.

Nanu was surprised to see Sameer home so early. He was never fond of surprises but since his marriage with Naina, he was doing better with these surprises. Naina had no idea about his arrival as she was lost in her own thoughts. She too had wanted to buy something for Sameer, but had stopped herself at the last moment. What if he didn't like her gift?

Ramdhari rushed in the kitchen to inform her that Sameer was back. But then he saw her lost. He called out, "Naina Bhabhi... Ummmm... aap kamre mein jaaiye, main sab yahaan sambhaal leta hun."

Still lost in her thoughts, she headed towards her room. Nanu smiled looking at her & he walked back to the garden. As she entered, she could sense the change in the atmosphere. She could sense his presence. Her eyes roamed around the room & stopped at the luggage bag.

On a cue, the washroom door opened & Sameer came out in a towel wrapped around his waist as usual. Naina couldn't believe her eyes. Was Sameer really present in front of her? How can he come so soon; he was supposed to arrive the next day?

Her legs moved on its own towards her dashing husband who was watching her silently. As she neared, she inhaled his musky fragrance & that was when she realized that he was there for real. Her mind can't play these tricks with her anymore.

Before Sameer could say anything, Naina flung herself in his arms & hugged him tightly. Sameer shivered with the contact as this is what he had craved from the past one month. He had craved for her touch, her presence, her fragrance, all of her.

They had finally found their oasis...

How was the update???

I won't ask what is going to happen next as you all must have already read some part of it in today's update...

To love someone means you've to trust them wholeheartedly. Even a single doubt on it raises questions on your feelings, your love...

Let's see if Sameer trusts his wife or holds onto all the misunderstandings...

I would be busy the next two weeks as its the quarterly closing, so I would post the next update only when I'm done writing it completely...

Till then, take care & stay safe...

Ignore the mistakes...

With Lots of Love,
