What is it?
The Featured Author Contest allows young, up and coming authors to get a little extra exposure here on Wattpad and on my website. If you enter, you have the chance to be featured on Shay Writes Smiles for a month. This month happening to be February.

How long will I be featured if I win?
For a month. After winning, I'll do a sort of Q+A with you, and put the information up here, and on my Website, for everyone to get a chance to know you better.

How can I enter?
You must be a member of the Wattpad community, and must be following me. To enter, PLEASE include what contest you are entering - but, after that, simply comment your submission here on this chapter!

What should my submission include?
Your submission should include your name (both your username, and/or the alias you choose to potentially show), the title of your most popular book, and why you think you should be considered. For the reasons as to why you should be considered, dig a little deeper. I'm looking for dedicated authors, or dedicated fanfiction authors, who have worked hard to get to where they are today.
If I feel you deserve to be featured for the month, I will contact you directly.

Submission period?
The submission period will run for three weeks.
This submission period begins today January 1st, 2017, and will run until the last week in January.

If I've been picked, when will I know?
During that last week I'll look over the submissions, to which I will contact the winning author.
I will then reveal January's Featured Author on February 1st, 2017.

Something Real/Gentlemen's Guide

Gentlemen's Guide to Wingmen is an upcoming spinoff book of Something Real. For help in coming up with a character that will fit into these books, I suggest reading Something Real (featured on my profile), or logging into my website to check out the sneak peek at Gentlemen's Guide.

What is it?
This Character Contest will allow for my readers {Those of Something Real and the upcoming spinoff - Gentlemen's Guide} to create a character for the books listed above.

Character requirements?
One thing about this character, it needs to be specific in certain areas. You are all allowed to be as imaginative as you'd like with the personality, looks, ect; but here are the guidelines I will need you all to follow:
•This character MUST be female (for purposes of the storyline)
•This character must be between 22-30 years of age
•Keep in mind that this character is a previous love interest of a male character featured in Something Real/Gentlemen's Guide.

What should my submission include?
Your submission should include:
•The name of your character
•The age of your character
•Any general interests of your character
•Personality traits
•Physical traits (hair color, eye color, height, what clothes they wear, ect.)
•Any background information on your character (if you choose to)
•And anything else you feel is necessary to list about your character

How can I enter?
You must be a member of the Wattpad community, and must be following me. To enter, PLEASE include which contest you are entering, and simply comment your submission on this chapter!
If you so please, create a new book on your profile entailing who this character is. There, you may attach a picture of what your character looks like. Please comment a link to your character description story below if you choose this option.

If my character has been picked, how will I know?
On March 1st, 2017, I will make the official announcement here in this book. The featured author for March will be revealed in the same day. Your character will then receive a small part in Something Real, and then after a part in it's spinoff, Gentlemen's Guide.
