My story began day after my father fell. The injections had, in a way, worked. Not the way he wanted though. The determination.. did something to me. I didn't 'tame'. No. Not at all, but instead of reacting on instinct like a feral monster did, I could think, strategize. This, is what he did wrong. The first time I woke up like this, I looked around the darkened room. The deep instinct to hunt was there, the desire. I just.. I looked at the chains that bound me. Out. Need out. I need out. No, no, no, no- knife. I need that knife. I need out to get that knife. My tails not quite long enough to reach.. tail.. tail! I pulled against the chains and whipped my tail at the chains. I stumbled onto all fours. Free. I'm free, need the knife. I collected my prize, licking the cold steel. Hunting time. No smells down here.. old smells down here. Fresh.. fresh scents were coming through a crack in the elevator doors. Pry the open. I slipped my claws through and shoved, slowly prying the doors apart. Biting down on the knife, I started climbing up the shaft. I ' m c o m i n g .

🔪🔪🔪

It was a little harder to pry open the doors with the fresh scents outside, but I got them. I took my knife out and started hunting, killing the unsuspecting yellow monster while it watched something. From there, I moved on towards the rain scent. Water mean prey. I was fast in my slaughter, learning how to evade, ambush, strategize around my prey. Learning their weak points and using it against them. Until I got to his house. Even if it was the middle of the night, I couldn't catch the fire elemental off guard. I eveded his flames, leaping away from the cackling magic, before it could spring up. I growled. "A feral one? It's been awhile since I dealt with one of you. Let's get you to the castle Until you relax." His words escaped my understanding. I couldn't recall their meaning, but he was to calm to consider me the threat I was. My grip tightened on the knife that he hadn't seemed to notice. I liked when my prey gave me a challenge.

🔪🔪🔪

The knife cut his cheek as he moved to dodge it. I flead into the undergrowth, examining him from a distance. "W-what..?" He looked around, tensing. "This one's different.." He wasn't prepared for an INTELLIGENT feral monster. Something cackled in my soul. Magic? Could I use manifested attacks too? The raising of purple bones upon my command told me yes. Things just got seriously unfair for my prey. While he focused on escaping my attacks, I focused on slipping behind him. I got my knife back. I shoved it into her back, but.. weapons didn't work on fire. I jumped away as he tried to catch me. I ran around his home. What worked on fire again? WATER. Something replied in my head. Water, yes. I need water.. I'm surrounded by water. This guy was a special kind of smart. I rounded the next corner, reappearing in the front and running directly towards him. He threw flames up and I dodged around him, going for a small monster kid. "MK!" He was following after me. I snagged the boy and kept running. "Come back here you son of a-" I stepped aside as he was about to tackle me, falling into the water. I finished the kid and moved on.

🔪🔪🔪

I moved to the snow territory next. Day was upon the place now. I was facing of a against a familiar looking skeleton. Why was he familiar? THAT DOES NOT MATTER. The voice said. JUST KILL HIM. I did. My soul ached though. Why? IT DOES NOT MATTER. KEEP HUNTING. YOU WILL FEEL BETTER. The voice was right before, why wouldn't it be now? So I kept hunting. I turned around when there was nothing left to hunt here. I found new abilities. Skull beasts and teleportation. There was nothing but dust behind the doors, so I teleported back to my starting kill and walked in the other direction, starting a whole new hunt there. The voice started to speak up more, taking the form of the other skeletons head. It was determination. The determination. Guiding me. It called itself Wraith. I was starting to understand words again. Enough to know whether I was considered dangerous or not and enough to know who was dangerous and who was not. The human I met after killing the king, was dangerous. "So you're the one killing MY victims." I growled. Having more determination than them, and more LV, they hadn't stood a ghost of a chance. SANS!
