As you cleared yourself from the rubble of the road you were just on before Balrog destroyed it, Eiden got you a few potions to heal yourself up after the battle along with the fall. Before anything else could happen, there was some shouting from the rebellion troops, "The bomber is here!" One of them shouted. You then look at the sky to see the bomber as it emerged from the clouds.

Some of the rebellion troopers cheered as it was flying towards the fortress. There was some hope in their morale before the bomber was shot down by an unknown cannon, then the troops morale went back down as the battle continued with no end in sight.

Then, a call came from your earpiece as you answered it, "Looks like this battle's going to take longer than expected" Cid said Once you answered it. "It would appear they have air defenses," Eiden commented, "the strike can't continue if whatever air defenses they have is still functioning."
"Eiden's right," replied Cid, "I can send another bomber, but I'm not going to send it if it's just going to get blasted down."
After a few clicking sounds from Fort Iris, where Cid was, he got back to you, "Alright. Good news is that there's only one Anti-Air cannon," Cid informs you, "Bad news is that it's a strong cannon, and it can't be taken down by any trooper, but an adventurer" he chuckled, possibly mentioning you, "The cannon is on the top of the central tower you were going to before that dark knight destroyed the easy path to it, now get to it for the rebellion!" Cid sad before ending the communication.

Now you're climb up the tower begins.
