I just read the book Golden by Jessi Kirby, which I highly recommend to anyone, especially to fans of romantic mysteries. Throughout the novel the main character, seventeen year old Parker, is struggling to figure out what she wants to do with her life while reading the diary of another seventeen year old who died ten years earlier, Julianna. Parker is fascinated with a quote Julianna uses, and now, so am I.

Too many people squander away their life, I, for one, plan to live a life with no regrets. When I look back decades from now I want to be proud of who I was and who I became. I want to leave behind me a world that is just a little bit better than before I came. I refuse to waste a single second of the beautiful life I have been gifted.
