Hi there, so it's been a while since I updated this story, for those who are reading this, this is my first book.
I started writing it my sophomore year, but started to give up on it, until Hotchocolaterush came along and started reading my story. She is the sole reason this book has even gone beyond 3 chapters! Thank you my dear friend for giving me the inspiration to continue writing this book!

After tucking Danny in for bed, I meandered back to my room, tiered and cold. I thought about how crazy my life was starting to become again, wow, I haven't felt this alive and present in months, it's like I'm starting to see the world in color again... After I lost the boys, I shut everyone out, it was like I was gone. Eventually people gave up on me, and decided to wait till I was ready.
For months I wasn't really living, just existing for the sole purpose of homework and chores. I didn't smile, I didn't laugh, and my whole world lacked color. The horses had been my everything, and after I lost them, I dropped everything, my grades went from A's to C- to even an F. I had stopped caring about anything.

Taylor had been the only one to understand me, she was the only person who could get me to talk, or make me feel better. She would listen and allow me to share my burden with her. I smiled to myself softly, if it weren't for Taylor, I'm not even sure if I would be here...

After walking into my room I decided to clean up, which ended up taking me an hour. Glancing back at the clock, I decided to go to bed.

Morning

When I woke up, I felt something wet on my face, and I realized I had been crying in my sleep, but I couldn't remember what I had been dreaming about.

I got dressed and went down stairs and started to make breakfast for me and Danny, mom had already left for work, and Dad was going to take me to school today.

I looked through my moms cookbooks and found a recipe for buttermilk pancakes. By the time Danny came down stairs, they were ready to eat.

"Good morning Danny!" I said with a smile.

"Good morning. Emily. Eat pancakes?" Danny asked, yawning and rubbing his eyes.

"Yes Danny, do you want chocolate chip pancakes? Or plain with butter and syrup?" I asked.

"Chocolate chip!" Said Danny with a missive grin on his face.

I chuckled at his enthusiasm and handed him the plate.

"Thank you" he said, taking the plate.

"Your welcome Danny" I said and messed his hair a bit.

After handing Danny the plate I grabbed my own and sat down. I had to wait till the aid got here to leave for school, mom was on a business trip and so was dad, so I was alone in taking care of Danny in the morning and at night.

Just as I started to get worried the aid showed up and apologized. And I rushed out the door so that I could get to school early.

  Because I had PE as my first period, it meant that I had to show up a bit earlier to get changed. And I didn't want to take my chances of running into Mr. Green eyes.
