"Mama?"

"Yeah?" Jinx turned to her kid, ignoring the annoyed look Vi gave her for cutting off their conversation about what to have for dinner. It's not like Jinx cared what was made anyway, she was probably still gonna eat it.

Lilith was taking a few seconds to speak but she was staring at Jinx's arms intently so she looked at them as well. Jinx lifted her arm before looking back at her daughter, "You like my tattoos?" She asked slowly and Lilith's gaze went back up to the teenager's eyes before she nodded.

"Maybe when you're older you can get some." She grinned and heard someone clear their throat in the room. She turned to see Vi giving her a look but Jinx couldn't care less. If her baby wanted a tattoo she would get one. Besides she said she would wait til she was older, so what was her problem?

"Maybe don't talk to the six year old about tattoos."

"She was curious, and she'll be fine."

"I want ones like yours!"

"Yeah yeah okay you little rogue. Just remember to wait til your older."

"How much older?"

"At least 16."

"What!" The child shrieked in surprise. Her mama never made her wait a super long time for things she wanted, but now she had to wait til she was 16?! Both of the adults in the room chuckled at her disbelief so she took to pouting before she rolled her eyes and got up and ran upstairs to her bedroom.

"Ah no, Lili wait!" Jinx didn't hesitate to chase after her pouty daughter, not wanting to leave her to sulk, especially since she mainly came over to spend time with her favorite girl.

Once she got to the room the door was slammed in her face and Jinx couldn't help but let out another quiet chuckle as she stood there. The only reason this could even happen was because Caitlyn and Vi took her in and gave her everything Jinx couldn't give her. If they were in her apartment, who knows if she would've even been able to give Lilith her own room, her own space to personally sulk or be pouty like this.

It stung a bit to acknowledge again for the hundredth time how much better this really was for her daughter. She slowly turned the dornknob and went inside the room to find her daughter sitting on the edge of the bed and staring at her blankly for a few seconds before she looked to the floor quickly. Jinx blinked while closing the door behind her and walking over tentatively.

"Something wrong?" She asked but her little one only shook her head while still looking at the ground. Jinx narrowed her eyes before sitting on the bed next to the little girl who in turn laid her head on her arm. Of course Jinx knew she was thinking about something and wanted to know what it was, her daughter didn't commonly stare like that for no reason.

She easily picked her daughter up and placed her on her lap and Lilith didn't make any move to stop her nor did she seem upset by it. "Lili? You can talk to me. Why'd you look so upset when I came in?"

Her little girl seemed to copy her and narrowed her eyes before she then gripped her shirt and pushed her face into it. Jinx reflexively wrapped her arms around her daughter but now she was even more curious. Should she leave it alone? Will she speak on her own time? Jinx made a face but she looked down at the little one on her lap and she couldn't help but melt. She could wait.

After a few minutes Lilith pulled back and Jinx looked down at her again. "You didn't come in at first." "Huh?"

Lilith's face started to look embarrassed as she gripped her shirt again. "I heard you run after me... but you didn't come in. I dunno why but... I thought you didn't care about me anymore." She hurried her face back into Jinx's shirt again.

"What?!" Jinx winced when she saw her daughter flinch at her yell being so close, "Baby no, no, no, of course I still care about you. I'll always care." She mumbled next to her daughters head who then looked back at her. She nodded softly but Jinx still felt uncomfortable. No that wasn't it. She felt uneasy.

She only stood outside the door for two minutes reminiscing, but those two minutes made her daughter think she didn't care anymore. How could she fix that? She never wanted her to feel like that again. Maybe she should have a serious talk with Vi and Caitlyn about it? Hopefully they would know what to do.

"Mama... I'm sorry."

Jinx bit her lip as she thought about what she should say here, "You don't... you don't have to be sorry for telling me how you feel okay? I'm happy you told me." She looked down at her and watched closely before continuing, "Do you at least feel better?"

"Mhm."

"Good," She placed a light kiss on her forehead before laying back on the rest of the bed, her daughter still in her arms. "How about a nap before dinner?" She felt the girl nod and that was enough of an answer for her.
