Assalam u alaikum warahamatullahi wabarakatuhu,

Many people had questions regarding Finding You and Dublin Sisters. This section answers all your questions. So here we go...

1. What is the inspiration of Finding You?

Two of my close uncles had passed away in sudden deaths because of wrong addictions leaving behind a wife of barely 40 years old. And both of them had 4 children. It had been devastating for the family worse was for those children. Decades have passed today but the devoid of father remains as the widows of my uncles never remarried. That made me ponder on wrong addictions.

Then living in Ireland, alcohol is a major part of culture. Ireland is known for its Guinness beer which has been mentioned many times where Fahd used to drink. I had never known the stink of beer until I lived here. I have seen countless drunk people here. I have read enough stories of people dying of accidents and what not because of their addiction. This instigated me to write on alcohol as on a daily life I see it a lot. Alhumdulilah, I hardly see Muslims drinking but still I know stories where many do.

As for the concept of two brothers and one woman... I have seen enough movies, dramas and serials in Indian and Pakistani television based on this concept so I wanted to show something similar but as you can see Finding You was completely different to what you may ever see or read. It was completely based on my experiences in life and yes my imagination.

2. Does your husband read your books?

No, he doesn't like most men he isn't fond of reading but I have narrated the plot line of all my books. Some scenes I forced him to read and he has given very very interesting comments.

3. Who in my family reads my books?

Yes, my dear sister who was my first reader, she is only 13 years old and she really encouraged me to write. Then when I went on holiday and met many cousins, my sister promoted my book and told them about it. So many of my young cousins are reading my book.

4. When did you realize you wanted to be an author? Or when did you find a passion of writing?

This I have mentioned in my Scents book, when I had my baby girl I was in need of finances and I had started working as a freelance content writer. But I have always worked on reports based on business, marketing and other subjects. I was bored and nothing was interesting to read. I decided to write a story that I know I would like to read.

Another motivation on wattpad to start writing is that many young writers are unable to depict the married relationship well as they don't have the experience. I being a married woman wanted to show how beautiful this relationship can be and above all show the realistic view of a married life.

5. How about a sequel with Ejaz's story some time in future?

I don't think I can write on Ejaz's story as Finding You was based on present times... writing Ejaz's story will mean going 20 years ahead of time which even I don't know how living style will be then.

6. Describe Ramlah in one word.

Patient – a trait I don't have myself. I am patient as a mother and wife today after years of married life but the torture of what Ramlah went through I don't think I would have been as patient as her.

7. What is my favourite scene in this book?

The scene after the Nikkah of Fadil and Ramlah. It is just so romantic the way Fadil holds Ramlah hand and put on her bangles. A scene I have read so many times. Another scene I am very very happy about is Fahd's death. But why happy? Well when I had thought of the plot I was very worried if I would ever be able to write a death scene and above all a death scene that will move the readers. I know I cried a lot when I wrote that scene and many readers say the same. So I am very happy I was able to write it the way it is.

8. Who is my favourite character?

My favourite character is Fahd because of his flaws. I felt deeply for him. I had never planned to write so much on him but when I wrote on his character I just couldn't stop. Fahd's character is a mix of two very close male relatives in my life that I have seen suffer for various reasons as Fahd. His struggle in this life is so true that many of us face and above all so many of us go to our Lord with regrets and unfulfilled wishes.

9. Which character I can relate to?

I am a little bit like Sana, always giving advices to others. I have done that since I was young as I was the eldest child and even today my parents always ask for my advice as they believe my opinion matters.

I am also a little like Ramlah, what she had endured with her mother in law, I have experienced similar situation. Like Ramlah, I had been quiet and patient and alhumdulilah today things are far better.

10. If Fahd didn't obsess with any addictions, then Ramlah deserved Fahd's or Fadil's love?

She definitely deserved Fahd's love. He was her first husband, the first man in her life. Every woman has expectations from her husband and he should have met them. Every woman craves to be loved and cared. And if things were good Fahd would have been that man.

11. Will Ramlah work?

Well I don't know may be or may be not... let's see how we see her in the other books.

12. Tell us something favourite dialogue that you liked?

There are two dialogues that I had thought of when I had written only first chapter and are my favourite:

Fadil's expressing his desire to marry Ramlah – "I will marry her and then I will see how you take away her son from her when she is the wife of your living son."

Ramlah's admission in the last chapter - "All my life I was finding you, Fadil. Only you."

13. Shouldn't Ramlah go through counselling after the trauma she went through?

Yes, many people do go through counselling but I purposely didn't show that. Sometimes, the love of your near ones can heal your wounds.

14. Is this your first novel?

Yes, this was my first book. A book I had never thought to complete. A book I never thought I could write. Alhumdulilah I was able to exceed my own expectations.

That's for me to know you and to find out... Continue to read Forgiving you to find out.

2. Who is Manal's husband?

Manal's story is the last book of Dublin sisters. It is called Fancying you. However, we will find out who her husband is in Forgiving you (Dublin sisters book 2) because that is when she will elope.

3. What happened to Sana?

She is ill, but her illness will be revealed end of Forgiving you so we see the story proceeding in Dublin sisters book 3 called Fostering you.

4. Is Sana dying?

You will need to read Fostering You for that.

5. When will you write Manal and Sana's story?

When I am done with writing the current books inshaa Allah.

6. Why is Forgetting Love numbered 2.5?

It is the only matured content book and since many of the readers on Wattpad are teenagers who may be too young to read it, that is why this book doesn't reveal any other information that readers who are not reading will miss out on Dublin Sisters other books.

7. which is your most realistic book?

Forgetting love is the most realistic book, it is 80% non-fiction showing the real problems that come between husband and wife that I have experienced and heard other married women complain about.

8. How would you describe your books?

Finding You – an emotional realistic drama.

Forgiving you – this is perhaps the most dramatic book of all. This book will have many twists and turns keeping the readers on the edge the whole time.

Forgetting love – a complex story depicting realistic problems regarding intimacy between the married couples.

Fostering you – the most emotional book it will deal with issues that will touch the heart. I don't know how I will write this book. I will surely be crying while I write it.

Fancying you – another close to reality book as to how a woman faces problems when the society turns against her.

9. How old should the readers be reading your books?

Finding you is the only PG 13 book. Forgetting love is the only mature content book were you should be 17 – 18 years old at least. The rest of the books are PG 15. This is because of the strong language and some themes of the books that young readers may not understand.

10. Do you plan to write more series?

Yes inshaa Allah once we are done with Dublin sisters I want to focus on a series based in Pakistan, India and the Middle East where there are so many problems found in the eastern cultures. But nothing is planned yet.
